Feiner Exposures –
when I saw the name “Old Timer” I knew it was a quality piece I was looking at. This is on another level from what I expected. the blade is considerably thicker that many higher priced brands and feels like it will be with my for the rest of my life. fit and finish do suffer a little bit with the pins through the scabbard though, just a couple thousandths high. Enough to be felt, but should not create an issue going forward. Overall excellent fit, feel, and you should not be disappointed. My two pennies in this matter. Be blessed.

Looks well made.
Razer Sharp.
Nice thick leather sheath.
Comfortable in the hands, the handle is hard wood so it can get slippery.
My only complaints is the blade is blinding in sunlight & there are several quality control flaws (not in function but the looks)

I like that it has D2 steel and finger choils with jimping. The color of the scales are a good look for this knife. The leather sheath feel like it’s pretty decent quality.
My only word of warning is this is a decent size knife to carry on your person. Not everybody will be comfortable carrying such a big knife on their side.

I bought this for a blade that wasn’t so expensive I couldn’t thrash it working around the farm. Saw some reviews knocking the sheath. Seems pretty solid to me. It’s leather and has all the things that go with leather sheaths. It not kydex but, again, for the money it pretty damn good. For the dudes who said the snap loop was too small… stop being a pussy! Gotta stretch it a little. I don’t want the thing sloppy and loose. I want it secure and it does that well. Blade is reasonably sharp which is best for a thrashing knife. I don’t want a surgical edge because it will dull too easily. Haven’t used it enough to attest to it’s durability but looking it over and having bought and used a lot of knives over the years I feel confident it will give me my money’s worth. This would make a great low budget hunting knife.

I am so proud of myself for buying this. My son wanted a knife for Christmas and he is a picky picky guy when it comes to knives. The knife in itself is well made and the handle well it is so beautiful. I showed it to a couple of guy friends and they wanted to order one too. The only downside is we didn’t realize the length would be against dorm regulations at his college so it has to stay at home until he graduates.

So I always buy at least two of each knife, or at least I try to. Anyway, I did buy two and I was hesitant to even try one out because it is such amazing craftsmanship I didn’t want to blemish it. But I did end up using one and it is an awesome knife, not just in looks but in what it can do from batoning to feather sticking and more. Shesth is high quality leather. You won’t be disappointed!

Awesome Old Timer, tough as nails…or at least D2 steel. Love the knife, it’s one of my favourites but the sheath is kind of cheaply made. Not a very good leather. I use leather grease on all my leather products and good leather will soak in the grease but this sheath doesn’t. It barely soaked in and just dried over a few days. No problem though. I’ve ordered a leather tracker sheath from Ottaza. Hoping it fits good.

The knife itself is excellent for the price. It’s a good sized piece of D2 steel. The grind was nice and even. Good edge geometry. Very comfortable handle. Good aesthetics as well. Handles general woodcraft tasks well.
Unfortunately, the sheath is of rough quality. Upon arrival it was so tight I had to use two hands to press the blade into it with a lot of force (enough that I took care not to cut myself if it pierced through). I put some mink oil on it, as I always do. The leather is of such low quality that it won’t readily absorb the oil. I had to heat it with a hairdryer and let it sit several days with the blade in and eventually it loosened up.
Knife is 4 stars for the price. Sheath is 2 stars.

Fit this knife in sale for 41 bucks… it is a good looking knife with a nice finish on the blade. The fit from handle to guard is a little clumsy but is functional. This is a chunk of steel also… thick heavy duty blade and looks like it can withstands some use. I’m not expecting the mirror finish on the blade to last forever but it looks nice when new and has a nice wow factor of you are giving it as a gift. I’m satisfied with this purchase.
