Bonzabluie –
Probably the best beater out there. If you don’t like the feel of your current pedal. Try this beater on it and experiment with beater height and spring tension. Just remember the higher your beater the looser the pedal will feel. The lower the beater the tighter the spring will feel. I hope this helps. I removed the little weight because the weight of this beater is perfect as is
Anika –
Needed a better pedal for my Simmons electronic drums.
Dave Bode –
Felt side is pretty soft compared to the ol Gibraltar one. Plastic side gives you click and the little weight can really changes the feel.
Alex Van Der Heyden –

Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Although the picture presented is different I received the correct item. As usually with the DW products, it is top quality, looks great but what is most important it really is light, feather light. It allows me significantly faster moves and with less effort. I’m very pleased. Here I attached the real pictures of this great beater. Needless to say, I bought a second one immediately.
Jason Statham –
I used to have a felt/oval beater that worked well for my “stomping” style of playing the kick. Once I started playing heel down and developing more dynamic range I switched to this beater and it is excellent. Articulates super well especially on doubles.
Anika –
Used this beater to replace a wood, ball beater I’d used for 20 years. Used it on a gig where drums were provided and loved the weight, sound, and especially the balance. I’m using the hard felt side of this reversible beater and it delivers a solid whack, with just enough high overtones to offer definition. The balance can be fine tuned via a memory lock-style collar on the beater shaft. The beater provides as much leverage as you’d like, but can be adjusted to also provide very quick feedback on doubles.
Texan GS –
Makes a clicky smack. It is not lighter than my Yamaha felt beater.
Texan GS –
Sorry you may not see the beaters in the picture but, these beaters are probably one of the best beaters you’ll ever get for your money. I have purchased a couple other beaters like Trick Blow beaters and felt beaters and these are the most versatile as far as you can have felt on one side and hard plastic on the other. Very good purchase … I would recommend for the beginner to advanced Drummer if you really like a Crisp-based kick or a nice muffled thump. You choose!

I play 7 Instruments if I count classically trained singing. Drums are a third for me, I’m capable of playing publically, however I’m more of a guitarist or bassist. These beaters are flat out awesome feeling. I use Axis Longboards with a custom fitted zero lash trick 5.0 ball bearing driveshaft so there’s zero play and this is akin to feeling the tip of the stick rebound off the head. It’s great with normal pedals also. I had a professional drummer friend checking out my pedals and he wanted the beaters. He’s literally endorsed by a ton of companies and plays DW 5000 doubles by choice, never saw the Dave Grohl beaters.
