Amazon Customer –
I purchased two of these rubber beaters for my electronic kit because of the mesh head on the kick. It works great and does not damage the mesh head.

I bought these to replace the bulkier beaters in my tama speed cobra db pedal. What a difference! Makes it much easier to use. Wish I had bought these sooner!

Beater has good balance and adjustments. The rubber head creates a good solid punch and tone. Only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is the head swivel does not tighten down well enough and comes loose and subsequently wears down unevenly. I eventually glued it into place with JB weld. Been perfect ever since.

I have the Tama Iron Cobra 600 series Double Bass Pedal, that I switch the felt beaters for these hard rubber beaters. Will fit on any Tama drum pedal, and should fit on any drum pedal, you may want to double check my last statement, if you don’t have Tama brand pedal. My old pedals were a different brand though, and these beaters fit just fine. Excellent product & seller. Item came quickly. I would definitely recommend these, and I would buy from this seller again.

These are not plastic beaters. I consider them rubber. After using them for about two weeks my Pearl Demon Drives are covered in black rubber dust (formed from the friction of simply playing). I can tell this dust is making its way inside the bearings of my $1000 pedals. When I removed them I had to thoroughly clean my pedals with alcohol and re-lube them.

Always liked the felt version of these which I enjoy still on my acoustic sets. Relatively recently I got a coated bass drum head and was missing the “click” and attack at times. Rather than buy a new head I tried this beater and I get to keep the warmth and dryness of the coated P3, but have regained the click and attack of the clear P3. I use these mostly on my electronic kit though which has a rubber kick pad. These won’t wear down anytime soon and I imagine I’ll enjoy them for years as I have my other Tama beaters. It is slightly heavier than the felt version these beaters… I like that, but you might not. If you want a clickier more defined attack out of your drum this beater is a good way to go IMO.

Replaced the original beaters on my Gibraltar direct drive double pedal with these Tama CB90R beaters and they have improved my pedal speed and accuracy so I’m really happy with them.
Noah Cardott –
This particular beater may seem a bit heavy, but no problem. It’s effect on the head is absolutely flawless! Offers the good amount of attack one can need on the bass, which is quite perfect. I recommend this highly to people who have Axis pedals or such alike pedals. Great beater!
