I mounted this Sabian 10″ HHX Evo splash stacked in an inverted position to a Sabian 12″ HH splash – they complement each other, creating a unique sound and with more sustain than either one alone.

I love this cymbal. It is not very heavy or very light either. It has some shimmer and a sort of long sustain and fits volume wise with my other evolution HHXโ€™s. I would say more dark than bright.

One of my favorites cymbals . So sweet sounding Has a nice ring very fluid . Nice accompaniment to my sabian studio crashes . Sounds good playing Jazzy styles and Metal . Evolution series sound unique which I prefer. Well made but soft you can see it flexing slightly .

This is really an incredible splash. Oddly enough, at the time of purchase, the price isn’t very high for an HHX cymbal. There is a small bit of china tone to the splash, which I think is really perfect. It gives the cymbal some lively punch as opposed to the super glassy white noise that one would get from a standard splash (the AAX splash is like that). The large raw bell gives this cymbal its punch and airy tone. The extra thin weight is responsive even with a tap of the tip of a stick, and it gets out of the way quickly.

Se ve bonito pero me decepcionรณ, suena a lata, su sonido es mรกs parecido a un china que a un splash, prefiero los B8…. al final despuรฉs de acistumbrarme si me gustรณ!

I like this cymbal very much. I’m using it in almost all my gigs now. Keep in mind this is a very thin cymbal, so I really don’t know if it would stand some heavy playing, I bet not. But If you’re playing some acoustic music ( medium to low volume) this cymbal can bring a very different sound to you. It’s very dark, somewhat gong-like, and with a light touch you can bring up the full sound of it. It was developed with the amazing Dave Weckl, and the cymbal has his signature under the bell. A nice touch. I think if you’re not a heavy-handed drummer, and want a darker different sound to your setup, get this cymbal. It’s great! BTW, my first Sabian.

Bought this to add onto my HHX cymbal setup and it sounds great, looks amazing and didn’t cost too much. Been really hitting this 7″ splash hard for two months and it’s exactly what I wanted. A crisp, dry, short sustain ring with quite a bit of volume. Love it!
