Malgré le fait que j’ai eût ce produit d’occasion, c’est comme si il était neuf, lors de son utilisation cette cymbale envoyait du pâté !

Love the range of expression of these cymbals. I am not an expert but I was looking for crashes with no “gong” undertone, just an awesome CRASH sound. Love this 16″ and the 19″ as well. When playing softly you can really get a great variety of sounds and full hits into them have a great quick explosion with zero harsh high “zing” or low “gong” after frequencies. Just CRASH-shhhhhhh. Perfect.

This is a great cymbal for big sound but I don’t think it’s lower volume dynamics bring out the full character of it as well. It responds very quickly to the stick with an initially bright explosion but rapidly resolves into a darker decay and a beautifully mixed undertone. At low volumes it is purely a darker cymbal and the bright characteristics are much more subtle. The lathing on the middle layer is interesting, very scratchy and eats up the tips of my sticks (wood tip) if I play it frequently, and playing from the outside edge give too much wash for this to be a great sticking cymbal, however the bell sounds outstanding and has a crisp and clear punch in it.

I have two set-ups and for my big kit I play pretty much nothing but rock and roll in every iteration it comes in and this cymbal absolutely made the first round draft as my main crash. I have no brand loyalty, my kit is covered with Meinl, Zildjian, Dream, Istanbul, and Sabian cymbals and this is my favorite new addition. For anyone who likes bigger crashes with faster decays and a wide dimension of sound this cymbal would be an outstanding choice!

AT FIRST I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT THIS CYMBAL, WANTED TO GO FOR AN HHX , BUT THIS CYMBAL SOUNDED TOO GOOD. ONE OF THE BEST OPTION FOR METAL DRUMMERS, (SERVES OTHER GENERES ALSO )

Packaged arrived in a box that looked like it was dropped and squished. The cymbal inside was simply placed inside the box with some paper wrap thrown in. The box was not designed for the cymbal and as a result of all the mishandling, the cymbal was damaged and bent. I.e. would not lay flat. It’s warped and twisted. If this is simply the way Sabian sells their product then I would hesitate to purchase it again. Was supposed to be Xmas gift but had to return for refund.

I’ve been a professional drummer for 28 years. I have A LOT of “top tier” cymbals. I have mainly been a Sabian customer for the last 10 years, but have several Zildjian K’s A’s and A Customs. This is a really nice cymbal. It’s gives a dark full tone with a long decay. You can ride the bell and it will give you a dark cutting dry short ding. When I need to make a bell sound but don’t want any ride wash, I go to this cymbal. I’ve played this cymbal in several environments and situations and it doesn’t disappoint in a small or large room. Lightly played, the cymbal gives full low undertones and when it’s time to let lose it can be commanding with it’s low dark punch. When you hit this cymbal with a smaller cymbal, it fills up the space VERY nicely, it really is my new favorite cymbal to hit with a 16-17 inch or when I need a solid dark statement.

I bought this to replace my 16″ Zildjian Medium Crash to use as my main Crash/Ride (I’m slowly changing to Sabian after many years of Zildjian). This cymbal was quite a bit darker and lower pitched than that 16″ Zildjian. I’m looking for a higher pitched cymbal for this duty and this wasn’t it. I put my venerable 18″ Zildjian Rock crash in instead as it was higher pitched than both of these other 2. I do use the 18″ AAX anyways as my token dark cymbal sound. It has a rich sound but does have some overtone which seems to get lost in the mix. Great looking cymbal with a finish that is more brilliant than what is pictured.

This cymbal has now become my favorite cymbal. It’s a warmer cymbal sound than you would expect from a 16 inch crash. Also, the sustain on this thing is brilliant. I have a 19 inch Sabian AAX with this 16 inch right next to it and they sound great together. Great cymbal and great price.

I bought this cymbal not too long ago to enhance my set and I must say that this is a great crash. It’s nice and bright (but not overly bright),nice and loud, and has a great attack. I absolutely love the AAX line of Sabian cymbals and I recommend this and the 18 inch X-plosion as well, which I also have. Everyone talks about Zildjian A customs and they’re great, but I think the AAX’s are as good or better.

Got the 19 to add to my collection and I am glad I did. This thing is a beast, great crash that cuts through, can also ride it, nice swells, a very musical sounding cymbal.

I have both 16″ and 18″ Sabian AAX X-plosion crashes and this 17″ Fast Crash compliments my brass very well. It is a little higher pitched than my 16″ crash especially at the top end. It sounds a little “lighter” than my other X-plosion crashes, mainly because it’s a little thinner. It speaks quickly and then ducks out of the way – exactly what a fast crash is supposed to do. I believe it compliments my 16″ and 18″ AAX X-plosion crashes very well. If anyone bought the 16/18″ Sabian AAX crash pack like I did, and you want another cymbal, this 17″ Fast Crash is a good choice.

The Sabian AAX series is a good sounding series, a little darker than Zildjian A Custom series, if you are a Zildjian player (like I was). I bought the Crash Pack because I needed a new cymbal setup and the Sabian AAX pack was convenient.

It arrived quickly and was undamaged. Thank you!
