UPDATE: One-Year Review
I am updating my rating to 2 stars for the following reasons:
Durability: Initially, I believed these cymbals were durable. However, after a year, one of my crash cymbals is broken, and the hi-hats have noticeable dents. In comparison, my Zildjians, which have undergone the same usage, remain in perfect condition.
Customer Service: I attempted to contact MEINL for warranty support regarding my crash cymbals. Unfortunately, I received no response—no calls, no emails, nothing.

When comparing them to the Zildjian L80 cymbals, I noticed a couple of notable differences. Firstly, these cymbals are considerably quieter in volume. Secondly, they appear to be more robust and durable.
Nevertheless, I personally prefer the Zildjian L80 cymbals due to their slightly brighter sound, which can be quite appealing in certain situations. However, if you’re aiming for a quieter environment, these cymbals are definitely a solid choice.
The one aspect that didn’t sit well with me is the price. Priced at $450 (including taxes and delivery) and only featuring the 14″ hi-hats, 16″ crash, and 20″ ride, I don’t find it worth the investment, in my opinion.
It would have been great if they included the 18″ crash in the package. That addition would have earned them a solid 5-star rating from me. As a result, I’m giving them a 3-star rating.
