I recently purchased the BLITZU Bike Lights and have been pleasantly surprised by their quality and performance, especially considering the price. These lights offer excellent value for money. The set includes both a front and rear light, which are easy to install and provide ample brightness for safe cycling, whether in urban areas or on darker trails. The front light illuminates the path ahead well enough for me to see and be seen by others, while the rear light enhances visibility from behind. The rechargeable batteries are convenient and offer decent battery life. I appreciate not having to constantly replace batteries, as they recharge quickly via USB.

I just received this light set two days ago…and already it’s made my bike rides SOOOOO much better!!! It’s a little difficult to express how much safer I feel and how bright these things are!!! Be aware that the front headlight is MUCH smaller than you’ll think it will be, BUT that turns out to be a tremendous positive. It’s slightly smaller than a business card, and fits in your pocket easily if you go inside Starbucks and don’t want to risk it being stolen off your bike. It’s incredibly bright and has several modes to choose from. I use the “blinking” effect as it still illuminates the street ahead of me perfectly, but attracts more attention as it flashes versus just being “on”. Same thing with the tail light. MUCH brighter than I thought it would be…and also has several modes. Again, I choose the flashing mode as I believe it catches people’s attention. Drivers can’t help but notice you!!! At 65 years old, and starting my bike riding journey again after about 10 years of not riding, I feel much safer, more secure, and more confident riding now. In light of the inherent danger of riding on the street with cars speeding past, it’s comforting to know that at least now, I’m extremely visible. Not to mention that it’s nice to light up your path very brightly in front of you.
Oh…I almost forgot. The kit also comes with a bell that will remind you of your childhood. Yes….I mounted it on my handlebar…and actually use it. It’s quite loud. I use it to say hello to kids who wave hello as I ride past them, or to alert pedestrians that I’m approaching from behind if I’m riding on a sidewalk. It also came in handy yesterday as a car was starting to make a right turn as I was crossing the street when the light changed. He was looking to his left to make sure it was clear for him to continue his turn (meaning he was NOT looking at me!) I gave a couple thumb pushes and the bell caused him to turn his head and notice me. He stopped and had a panicked look on his face with his hands in the air apologizing to me. It possibly could have turned out much differently, but that little bell was loud enough to grab his attention, thankfully!!
I would have paid $100 for the peace of mind this light kit has provided, so to get it for less than $20 was a steal! They charge quickly too using the two USB-C cables that come with the set. How long the charge lasts I’m not sure of yet…but I only ride for about an hour a day, so I’ll likely get 3-4 days worth before having to recharge (I’m guessing).
If you’re on the fence regarding buying this kit…go ahead and get it! If you’re like me, you’re going to be thrilled with your decision!!! Happy (and safe) riding to all!

I have owned three of the Blitzu rechargeable LED bike lights for over a year now. The LEDs get utilized for electric skateboarding, electric scootering, mountain biking, night hikes, camping, and pretty much anything that requires a flashlight.
I have used these in the pouring rain in Canada and on night trail rides in Death Valley. I dropped one in the stream near Atwell Mills in the Sequoia National Forest and it still works to this day. I also use them nearly daily on evening bike rides with my children. (See picture).
The build quality is ok. The LED flashlight is made mostly of plastic and more plastic. It could be a bit better with some metal reinforcement or rubber bumper shocks in the case of a hard drop, but overall it has survived many drops and hasn’t broken or cracked yet. The small rubber piece that covers the charging port is a bit of a pain when charging, but again…. it does the job and has done so for over a year now. The LED brakelight is simple yet functional. It is also made of plastic with rubber.
The mounting system itself is also plastic with some rubber padding. It isn’t spectacular but it works and it has worked on some gnarly downhill trails, with jumps, in Whistler (Canada), Moab, and Tahoe. The light has never fallen off.
Like many of you I have dozens of micro-usb aka “android charging cables”. None of them seem to fit comfortably into this charging port. They will charge it fine, but they do not fit snugly. Only the charging cable it came with works perfectly. So if you’re OCD like me….don’t lose it. Cheeky.
The LED has three modes, cycling through them is performed by clicking the power button. The three modes are:
Low
High
Flashing (white only)/Emergency
I like the initial power-up lighting effect that Blitzu incorporated into the LED. It is similar to how high-end cars halogen lights light up, a blink on… then a quick gradual increase to brighter luminosity.
The brake light also has three modes:
Solid red light
intermediate double blinking strobe
constant blinking strobe
For my brake light I set it to a solid red light. For my children I set it to blinking so that drivers can see them more noticeably.
I am really pleased that they still work and maintain what seems like 100% of their initial charge and use time after a year. If one broke at this point, I would definitely buy another one. It was well worth the cost and has been diligently reliable and helpful for so many adventures. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Yep, we got a tandem. Talk of the town now. It was a garage sale find that has turned into our new hobby.
We wanted to be safe on our rides home from downtown, so we bought this light set. Nice and bright, and several blinking modes. Very easy to mount on the handlebars and seat post, and very easy to use. To top it off, it came with a sweet bell that I mounted on the rear handlebars for my wife. Not that she can see where we are going with me in front, but in case she spots a friend or neighbor on the way. Well worth the price and its pretty durable.
