It’s a great instrument and was delivered promptly. However it is marked in several places which cannot be attributed to the natural hide. A couple of spots look like spilt liquid and a mark on the rim looks like it’s been rubbed against something dirty. I know it’s goat skin, but I wasn’t expecting the hairs to be quite as long as some of them are. I need it in a hurry and it’s playable. If I wasn’t in such a hurry I would definitely send it back.

This is my second Meinl tambourine in 20 years. I’m a pounder and just now I had to replace the first one. I bought the exact same one because the sound is amazing. The quality of the wood is also very good. I would recommend it.

Klingt gut, sehr gut verarbeitet. Auch das Fell ist ziemlich dick, so dass es hoffentlich lange hält. Viellecht wäre noch ein Loch zum Anhängen im Rahmen wünschenswert.

Absolutely beautiful sound and seems durable. Must be played as an instrument, not a toy. Given proper care and respect to technique, I believe this instrument is on par with Grover of the same price-line. Always been a fan of Meinl. They make some fine instruments…

This appears to be a very nice instrument; however, the one I ordered arrive damaged.
The wood was split in two different places, impacting two different sdets of the jingles/zills.
I am not impressed with the seller who should of inspected before shipping since the shipping box was undamaged, which means, instrument was shipped damaged from the store. return in process.

j’ai renvoyé cet article car la sonorité est très plate. J’ai été très déçue par ce tambourin qui semblait être d’assez bonne qualité.

We needed a replacement since our original meiln broke and used a cheap knockoff. It sounded so bad we went quickly and bought a real one. Such a difference. These sound amazing.

Unit arrived in pieces. There was no damage to the shipping box or the manufacturers box, the plastic wrap was intact. The first clue was stray parts falling out of the bag; I’m guessing here, but it must have left the factory in this condition.

Decided to try them again, the unit arrived in good condition. This tambourine is a joy to play. clear solid sound, very happy with the product.

I’m disappointed because I paid $50 for TAH2M-SNT Traditional 10-Inch Wood Tambourine with Goat Skin Head and Dual Alloy Jingles, 2 Row and was very happy when I saw the instrument. But after using it 2 or 3 times – very gently, as being in quarantine, I wasn’t playing much music – the jingles fell off in two places and I found splits in the wood. I wrote earlier and asked how I could get it replaced, and if not, repaired – and never even received a response. After seeing other responses, I see I’m not alone with having this issue. I’m very sad – it was a nice instrument and I would like to have had it repaired.

This is a great sounding, nice looking, and very well made tambourine! It is ideal for orchestral work. It sounds every bit as good as much higher priced natural headed tambourines. You can’t go wrong at this price!

Only con is that the pins come out but fixed that issue with a little clear gorilla glue. Sounds amazing and everyone in my church complimented me on the sound and volume of this product.

I love the sound of brass/steel mixed jingles. This tambourine looks, sounds and feels great. Unfortunately, it broke within minutes of what I would consider normal hands-only playing. Unfortunately this happened to be during a song at a gig…Steely Dan’s “My Old School,” if I remember correctly, which is a classic tambourine song. You can imagine my embarrassment. Anyway, the break involved the wood surrounding the pin the jingles are on, obviously a weak point, but I would think this would be accounted for in the construction. Apparently, it was not. I know this isn’t a $90 professional concert tambourine, but for the price I expected years and years of use, not minutes. I have other Meinl instruments that I would consider to be of high quality and well built. This one should be sent back to the drawing room. As I stated, I only used my hands with this tambo, nothing hard ever came into contact with it. I’m glad Amazon has a great and fairly easy return policy.
