I own LP and Rhythm Tech mountable as well as three Meinl’s. This is my fourth from Meinl, and it’s up to their usual high standard. Well done, again.

Wirklich gute Qualitรคt!

This tambourine looks and sounds great. I had to return mine because it was too big for what I wanted to use it for.
Christian Ammann –
Sounds Perfect and works well with my Drum Kit
Tenesha Kelley –
I really like the sound of this tambo. It’s not as ‘jingly’ as others – it’s a bit more mellow. The mount ISN’T easily removable, so playing it by hand is nearly impossible. Sounds great when you mount it and use it as an accent within a full kit setup.
sdmcatee –
Great quality & design. It will fit almost anywhere. Study & stays put. Sounds great too.

I wasnโt happy with this tambourine. Iโve had and used these in the past and found them to be among the best. Something changed. It looks to be constructed the same way but the jingles no longer sparkle and cut. This tambourine was quiet and dull. Also my old one could fit on a larger mounting rod but this one doesnโt. Iโve put this one away and will not be using it and got out my LP tambourine. Meinl is a great manufacturer but I was so disappointed this time.
FSE –
Nice dry tone, built like a battleship. I’m using it with a foot pedal, but the guirio ridges are a nice additional effect for the majority of uses running this at the top of the kit.

Trรจs bon rapport qualitรฉ prix.
KC & the Beat –
The tambourine sound of this unit is amazing. Absolutely great in the studio and live. I have used this in large outdoor venues as well as intimate stage settings and it is a great addition to any percussion setup. Negative: I have recently receive my 2nd unit as the 1st unit had a design flaw (in my opinion) with the mount. My original mount had a diamond shape hole cut for the mounting bracket. When playing, all the pressure is on the 1cm of metal on both sides. Naturally the stress snapped that pressure point. I searched for a replacement bracket and could not locate one. I finally contacted Meinl and explained my issue and they replaced the tambourine. The new one has a round hole instead of diamond. Not sure if this is a permanent design change, but I have had no issues with my replacement unit.

I play professionally and needed a new drumset tamb. Silly me, for years I thought a tambourine was a tambourine. I went down a rabbit hole watching video reviews of all sorts of tambs and turns out there are quite a variety of sounds and types. This particular one sounds like the tambs you might hear on most pop recordings. It seems to mix well with the gigs I tend to do.
