I’ve never used or played one of these which makes one question why I would get it but I always wanted to play one of these. I have to say as a beginner it is very nice, I don’t see it being a professional one but maybe more professional grade or quality. It’s not hard to set up and break down to put back into it’s storage bag. The sound is nice, I’m not sure if tuned or not but it sounds really nice. I need to youtube songs to play this but just having fun it’s great.

it feels like a toy so it would be great for a beginner. A little bit tinkly as there’s not a lot of range to it

This is small with a mere 2 and a half octave range. The tone is OK and this would be something nice for a beginner. it is surprisingly well tuned I did not expect that. It does come with the stand and a selection of very mediocre mallets. But this is a relatively small set and it’s good for practicing precision, but you really get no low end at all on here I think an 86 is the lowest note.
So you’re working in the soprano range. I think all of the accessories are there to distract you from what you really didn’t get in the main instrument. This is a child’s toy and nothing more. I’m pretty expensive. It comes with a practice snare pad which while more quiet than an actual snare drum can still be pretty annoying in the wrong hands.

This was perfect for my chorus class! The students loved using it. It has a great sound and seems durable enough for elementary kids!

Was everything I expected
DNJ –
I was checking which can be easy for my kid to start music and my kid used to play smaller version of it. He liked this and liked to explore
Hector Ocampos –
Is a great instrument!!

My son plays the Xylophone and Marimba in his school band, but we don’t have room or money to buy a full-sized one for home. This works great for him to be able to practice at home. There’s not a ton of range with only a couple of full octaves, but it’s a good value and size for a compact area.
