First off I’d like to put out the disclaimer that I have not yet actually used this product, it’s for emergency use when needed on the trail. With that being said, I have cracked one COยฒ canister just to see itlf it worked, and it does. Now it sits in my camelback ready for when it’s needed. Also, when you first open the box, you might think some things are missing.. open up the product, you’ll discover all you think is missing is inside!

This product was well-thought-out. It has plugs for repairing holes too big for Stans to fill in. There is a neoprene booty that you put on the CO2 cartridge before use. This prevents the cartridge from freezing to your fingers after a rapid discharge. Comes with a bike mount or you can just toss it in your tool pack. Docked the ease-of-use category only because it come with any diagrams showing the proper way to plug a tire hole.

I suppose it would work great if used for intended purpose.. I tried to inflate other tires on some yard equipment, and it didn’t work.. but could be my fault..

I had always wanted to get ahold of one of these tire repair kits. I ride trails 3x a week and deal with puncture issues frequently on Texas trails. This thing has already saved me on a few occasions. My tubeless sealant sometimes doesn’t do the job quick enough, so having this handy is a must. This particular product seems to be well made. The two bacon strips I have installed have not given me every trouble. Strongly recommended!

I’ve had several CO2 inflaters and they all function pretty much the same. The real difference arises from the integrity of the valve and the cartridge/inflation head interface seal. If they’re substandard, you’ll experience leaks and gas delivery into the tire/tube will inadequately fill the tire or fail entirely. Your hand might even freeze in the process. This is a good one.

Product Quality: The overall quality of the inflater head and barrel is excellent. Threads are clean and functioned flawlessly at both ends. I do recommend you apply a thin coat of lube to stave off corrosion, though. The valve operates smoothly. Finish was excellent. The seal surface appears to be a teflon washer. The puncture point was sufficiently SHORT enough that it doesn’t puncture at the beginning of the cartridge threading process. You’ll lose lots of gas if the pin punctures just as you’re treading a cartridge on.

Constructed of aluminum, it’s light. For the weight conscious, it’s not carbon fiber or titanium light, but it’s not carbon fiber or titanium expensive either.

The tubeless puncture repair tools should do the job. Others have stated that the bacon strips are small. They are one of several sizes available for purchase and are for minor punctures. You could double-up the strips for a larger repair or spend a few bucks and buy a variety pack at any bike shop or on Amazon. Included cartridges are unbranded.

Product Use: Instructions were surprisingly NOT included and the reason for the one star deduction. That’s a serious safety and usage issue for those new to CO2 inflation tools.

I elected to just slip on the insulating sleeve (coozie: it’s small, wear gloves) and screw the cartridge on. The vendor states that you can slip a cart into the barrel but It just seems to stick out too far, and the bottom cap will not screw on with a cartridge inserted. That method may work with non threaded cartridges which are slightly shorter.

I was able to screw a cartridge on easily. It took two turns to engage the puncture pin and four and a half turns until the cartridge sealed. There was minimal gas loss.

Installing the inflation head onto the presta valve was uneventful which is not always the case. A single cartridge gave me 78 PSI (by my Jatco gauge) after inflating a presta tubed 700C x 25 road tire. For a Schraeder valve, I recommend installing the inflation head onto the tire valve first (it screws on) and then inserting the cartridge for minimal gas loss. For presta: Just screw the cartridge on, press the head onto tire tire’s valve and open the inflation head’s valve.

The purchase includes a mounting bracket/mounting hardware, cartridge coozie, and a tubeless repair kit. Comically included is a sports ball inflation needle. Both the tubeless reamer/insertion tool and valve core remover install using a collet-style mounting system at the bottom of the barrel.

Final Thoughts: Surprisingly, this unit is at or above the price level of well known bicycle accessory vendors’ similar products. It does, however, include the cartridges and miscellaneous accessories. But at the end of the day what’s important is that it works as advertised. Recommended.

I like the fact that it can take different co2 cartridges. it also has multiple tools with it.
I will need to give a question mark how well the repart part works, as it seems only work with tubeless.
    Otherwise the kits are good.

At first glance this looks and feels like a good bit of kit. However the devil is always in the details. I thought i was gonna be able to carry the co2 and the tubeless repair needle all together. however you can not you have to carry the co2 cartridge separately. Granted in most cases if you’re going tubeless you wont want the CO2 as it doesnt play well with most sealants. and if your running tubes you wont need the tubeless plugs; But sometimes you bring what you bring also for the sake of others you ride with or come across so its nice to have both options
So you plop a co2 into the cozy( which will protect your hand against freezing while using the co2) and but it in your jersey or back/ pocket and you can stow the tool itself at a water bottle mount.
when needed you unscrew the valve from the tool housing and screw in the co2. the valve has swivel head to help get it on your tire valve and a nice handle to trigger the co2 which you can open and close as needed.
Be careful if you attach to your water bottle handle as the velcro needs to be pulled super tight or the tool can easily slide out… boop lost tool.
i havent used it to fix a puncture yet. the reamer/ needle looks fine; you can screw the reamer into the tool body to create a better handle to with which to jam you plug into the tire. However the bacon strips are pretty thin and im not sure who strong they are…
