I used this on a Bach Stradivarius 43 and a Yamaha 8443. It fits both of them perfectly fine.
It covers all contact-points for my left hand, so I only touch the 1st and 3rd valve rings.
It’s very well built, using good leather and very well stitched. As expected from ProTec.
My sweat is very acid, so I have always used valve guards. So far, a home-made guard I got manually stitched by a high-end leather-purse maker was the best I used. This one is almost as good (minus some custom embroidery I added just to experiment). Definitely the best “mass-produced” valve guard I yet tried.
It’s still leather, so I’d recommend to take it off now and then so it dries off. I’ll be buying a spare one just for that.

I got this around 3 months ago and now I can’t play my horn unless the guard is on. It’s super comfortable and is very worth it for the price; however, lots of the stitching has come undone and the edges are becoming frayed. I pick up my horn probably a lot more than the average person but still feel like it should’ve lasted longer. Once it really starts to be a nuisance to deal with I’ll definitely buy another one, though — hopefully my next one will be of higher quality

Se ajusta muy bien y el material es bueno

I like this product for protecting the finish on my two trumpets. One fit perfectly without any adjustment while I had to trim a little for protective cover to fit on my old Olds Mendez Trumpet.

Muy comodos y buen material

I love the leather feel and it covers alot of your trumpet. Only thing with I will update after a long time is the velcro adhesive.
My propr one the velcro started coming off but this one is very strong

Like: Nicely designed. Comfortable. The Pro Tec valve guard has good competition in the Pampet valve guard, but the slightly stiffer Pro Tec makes it just a little better for me than the Pampet version. They’re identical in design, but the Pro Tec valve guard’s stiffer leather keeps the section above the left index finger better in place. But it’s not worth twice the price of the Pampet valve guard.
Dislike: It’s twice the cost of the Pampet, but not two times better than the Pampet. I wouldn’t buy the Pro Tec valve guard if I had to do it over. The Pro Tec is nice. Don’t get me wrong. It’s just not twice as nice as the Pampet valve guard.

I’ve used it for a couple weeks now and I’ve had little to no issue except it’s a little awkward to put on the horn and the leather has to be broken in but overall is an amazing item would definitely recommend for any trumpet player.
SkyHawk –
This is great to help protect the valves. I highly recommend this for all trumpets but especially higher end trumpets. Great quality and very soft to touch.
RTD-TIJ –
It fits my Yamaha student trumpet very nicely, and it does provide very good protection from the sweat of my fingers. Highly recommended

Warning for Trumpets with a 1st Valve Trigger – you will need a sharp pair of scissors to customize this item. It is meant only for horns with a 1st valve ring/U slide. After you’ve cut the leather apart to fit your horn, then it is nice (minus the odd cutting you may have done). Good quality leather, nice stitching, good feel. Pretty much my fault – I didn’t even think about that first valve. Live and learn.
