Great sound. I will buy again and again.

This mouthpiece has a C* facing, like in the picture. It’s a great mouthpiece, and $169 is pretty much one of the cheapest prices for it I could find. It has a nice sound and is definitely worth the investment if you want to take your playing to the next level.

Great mouthpiece for her instrument. Our granddaughter very happy with the product. Thanks

I’m a band director and adjunct music professor and I highly recommend this mouthpiece. I previously had a C* but not a soloist, and this mouthpiece (but in F* facing) was drastically better. My tone improved greatly and opened up significantly. People typically comment on how dark and sweet the sound is and are surprised by how open it is. It does take a month of regular practice to learn to handle such an open mouthpiece. During that time, I found that I went to Rico Reserve size 2-2.5 reeds because anything more is hard to handle with this opening. It is worth every penny spent and I dread having to use any other mouthpiece because this one is so versatile. I use it daily as an educator and in a jazz and concert setting. It is one of the few mouthpieces that can handle both settings by blending and leading. Quality materials are used, as you would expect from Selmer Paris. If you don’t have the money to purchase a better horn, this is the best possible way to change your sound for the better quickly. You will not be disappointed.
