Overall, this was better than I expected. Leather palm and leather feel everywhere else, easy to break in and decent quality, especially for the cost.

livraison et qualité vraiment bonne

Very comfortable glove. Did not take too long to break in. Would recommend for for most levels. Top level catchers might need more padding.

This is a great value glove. I am a father of a softball pitcher and needed something that was a good utility glove for catching practice and fielding practice. Great deep pocket, easy to break in (about three weeks until it felt its best), and so far can handle the daily toils of practice and catching. Very happy with the color, sturdiness, and break in. Looking forward to making many more memories with this glove.

Ready for use instantly. Feels great, works great. Only used it 1 day, so I can’t comment on durability. Could use slightly more padding (I am catching 80mph fastballs from my son). Overall very satisfied with my purchase at this price point. (40 years experience)
Amazon Customer –
Great glove for the price, leather is soft and quick break in!

I have large hands so I needed a large softball glove. It’s a little bit smaller than my old glove but is more padded and has a nice feel. I’m still in the process of breaking it in so I haven’t played many games with it. I wish the wrist strap was easily adjustable (my old glove had a velcro strap that made it easy to put on and take off) but that’s my only criticism.

I tried out 4 different glove for this coming season. Price ranging from $40-$90. First off, I’m not a fan of the color but it it growing on me. The palm padding is strong, no problem there. It is a tough glove to brake in, I guess that is a good thing. It does not feel cheap. I think it is under priced.

Si duda alguna un producto original, nuevo y para moldear, exelente calidad y muy recomendable.

I am a 31 year old guy, 5ft 9 in, ~160 lbs, with medium sized hands I suppose. The 12.5” Player Preferred model is rather tight around the fingers and thumb to start with. I don’t know if the fit will loosen over time. I am guessing mostly not. The thumb loop can be adjusted and re-tied easily enough, but not for the 4 finger(s) spacing.
I ordered both this model and the Rawlings Renegade model in 13” off amazon. I am testing both out to see which one I like more.
The webbing size is fine for this 12.5” size, but the difference with the overall fit of the hand between a 12.5” and 13” is staggering. There is a much more “snug” fit with the 12.5” size as I said, even though the 13” glove is a different model from Rawlings, called Renegade. I wouldn’t know how a 12.5” Renegade glove would compare to this Player Preferred series unless I ordered those specific sizes for each, which I did not.
Overall, this Player Preferred glove genuinely “feels” higher in quality, while only being marginally more expensive… maybe $20 more or less than the Renegade model…but again the quality is noticeable!
The Renegade 13” model also had interior leather stitching I could feel just below the pinky liner area when I move my pinky inward, whereas this Player Preferred 12.5” model did not have any issues with unwanted stuff I could feel inside the lining where the hand goes. When you buy a glove, no matter the cost, I imagine someone wants their hands to be comfortable and not have their hands “rubbing” against something that should not be there. It’s a small annoyance, but it’s definitely there! Maybe the Renegade 13” model I tried was an anomaly in that aspect for the questionable pinky lining? For more than $40, a person should be able to get a glove that doesn’t offer any discomfort for the lining area, no matter how minor.
I like both gloves… I like Renegade’s extra hand space and larger webbing, but the Player Preferred model has quite a bit better construction with smaller webbing and a tighter fit.
Also, both gloves had leather hand lining for the palm of the hand, then a different “warmer” material for the back of the hand. It’s a good combo for the interior lining that provides a quality feel no matter which glove you decide upon. Both have a Velcro strap— my 1st glove to have one— which really does help to provide a better fit than I thought the Velcro strap would.
Decisions, decisions…
I hope that I helped for someone on the fence between the two Rawlings models, or any glove(s) at similar price points!
