My 256 OEM HP Omen SSD was at 95%+ capacity andI already removed junk files and programs so I know I needed to do something fast before running into issues. The Samsung SSD 1TB was 4 times as big and very affordable. I admit I was skeptical cloning would be easy and error free. I was wrong! I bought a NVMe M.2 Duplicator Dual-Bay Clone Enclosure popped in my 256 SSD and this 1 TB SSD and in under 10 min, the SSD was complete. Put the new card in the PC and it booted up with no issues. The cloner does a 1 for 1 partition copy so the last step was to use a partition software to claim the full 1TB usable space. So in less than 30 min, I now have a PC with plenty of space and a faster SSD than came with the computer. So pleased!

Mas de un año de uso para gaming y sin presentar alguna falla en los juegos instalados o de lectura-escritura.

I needed a reasonably fast SSD that doesn’t generate too much heat as it needs to run in a 24×7 environment that is passively cooled in a i7 1165G7 OpnSense Firewall box.
This Samsung fits the criteria perfectly. I didn’t went with the PRO model as i did for my Synology NAS 920+ as the NAS has good airflow and the PRO version has a nice efficient heat sink. It required some slight modifications to get the PRO version to fit the Synology but it is worth the effort.
Overall i am very happy with the performance of this product as it works the first time and is offering a very stable performance.
Shipping is fast. I highly recommend the product and seller.

I bought two of these 1TB M.2 980 2280 SSD’s. I use one for my main board IOS Windows system and I keep the other one as my backup. Takes about 1 hour using the Samsung Data Transfer tool and a M.2 enclosure I bought here on Amazon to make my backup. For the first time in years, I feel very comfortable with my system and no longer fear a complete dysfunctional melt down should I lose my computer as I recently did. I had a NUC and it failed. But was able to remove the SSD and slip it into another NUC and all is fine now. But it made me realize how dependent I am on a working computer. I can replace a NUC with another NUC but my precious software is much harder to replace. So having this M.2 backed up gets me to where I need to be. So far, this chipset is working wonderfully. I highly recommend these if you need it.

As someone who has upgraded multiple computer systems with SSDs, I can confidently say that the SAMSUNG 980 SSD is an excellent choice for those looking to boost their computer’s performance. This SSD delivers lightning-fast read and write speeds, making it ideal for demanding tasks such as gaming and video editing.
The installation process is straightforward, and the drive comes with the necessary screws and instructions to install it into an M.2 slot. One minor downside to note is that the drive can run a bit hot under heavy usage, but this is common for most M.2 NVMe SSDs and can be mitigated with proper cooling.
Overall, the SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCIe 3.0×4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drive is a reliable and high-performing choice for those looking to upgrade their computer’s storage capabilities.

I bought one of these Samsung 1TB sticks about a year ago, and BAMM!! My laptop’s read and write times got 6 times faster than the SATA SSD I was running… Windows loaded in mere seconds, vs. a minute… It doesn’t sound like much, but as I advance in age toward my 60th year, A MINUTE IS A MINUTE SAVED…
So when I saw this same model for $25 cheaper than the first one, I jumped on it… I bought it for my desktop I built 6 months ago… You just can’t beat these Samsungs… I can’t believe I can fit 1TB on this tiny stick… I still remember my first hard drive I ever had… It was an IOMEGA 30MB (yes, that’s megabytes) for a Macintosh Plus… It was as big as a half-height cinder block, and had a cable as big around as my thumb (Centronics SCSI, I think)…
Anyway, for gaming, how about NO LAG… Games load and play instantaneously, even the largest games…
The 3 stars for EASY TO INSTALL has nothing to do with the stick itself… It’s about my motherboard… The NVMe socket is located directly behind my video card… So when I was cloning OLD to NEW, I had to remove the video card, swap the sticks, and replace the video card… Because of the learning curve (screw-ups) of the cloning software I chose, that process took me 4 tries to get it right…
Word of advice: If you choose to clone your NVMe stick, and you only have 1 slot on your motherboard, MAKE AN IMAGE of what you plan to clone first, and save it somewhere else… If you screw-up the cloning process, you’ll have the image to try it again… Oh, by the way, you’ll need to buy an external enclosure for the new stick for the cloning procedure… It’s the only way to do it when you’ve only got 1 slot on the motherboard… When the process is complete, put the old stick into the enclosure, and you’ll have it to transfer/share files with your buddies, or for permanent backup… GOOD DAY…

I bought a few of these to replace some lesser brand drives that died after just a few months. More than a year later these are still going strong. I just bought another to put in a different machine. For the price these are right now don’t buy anything else .

As always with Samsung, what’s not to like? Fast bootups, blazing fast, no hiccup. Excellent value, overall.
This SSD came out in Q1 2021, still compares well with newer ones (userbenchmark.com).
My Lenovo P52 (Win 11) HDD was beginning to show its age; it’d take its own time to boot up, occasionally it would make noises. So I settled on this cheap SDD.
Samsung offers install & data migration software for free download. But the Install process was a bit of a letdown. Samsung’s Data Migration utility wouldn’t create identical volumes from the old HDD (Seagate); that capability is reserved only for Samsung HDD’s. In other words, your source HDD must be Samsung to take advantage of the like for like duplication. I had to use a 3rd party app Macrium Reflect (free download, 30-day trial) to mirror the old HDD.
All in all, I have no complaints on this zippy little SSD. Highly recommended.

I purchased this drive to be used as a Hyper Cache drive for my TERRAMASTER F4-423 Network Attached Storage (NAS). Usually I need dedicate a drive in the storage array for this task, but with m.2 slots available I opted for this. The experience has been fantastic, and these drives seem to work particularly well for systems using intel chipsets (NAS is using a Celeron N5095 quad-core processor). I tried a different Western Digital m.2 drive that the device didn’t recognize, so I opted for this instead. Ultimately I couldn’t be any happier. It’s very fast, affordable, and easy to install. A perfect fit if you’re looking for a cheap way to boost your read/write speeds

Good price point for a quality product

I purchased this product while on sale and I couldn’t ask for a better performance that isn’t a pro version. I have some older versions of the same product, and this outperforms them by 6x. Great NVMe with high read and write. Matched this with windows 10, 64gb, dual processor workstation and it fly’s. Samsung SSD, can’t go wrong. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t use anything else.
