I saw a video of someone using a yoga block for calf raises, so I thought I would try these. The person in the video must be using a different brand or be light as a feather, because these yoga blocks squish a lot more than I thought they would, like A LOT, so they didn’t provide a stable surface for my calf raises. It was like stepping on the supple surface of a mattress. I only did 2 sets of one legged calf raises on one of them and the spot I was using was already showing some wear. In one of the Amazon questions, the weight limit for these blocks is listed as 250lbs, so I should be safely within their limits. The non-slip surface worked well though. At least the price was low, and I’m sure I’ll be able to find some use for them around the house.

These are nice and uniform, perfectly light and balanced. But in case anyone else is looking for a solution, we used 4 of them to raise our Thuma pillow board and they work PERFECTLY. They are just the right height and width to nestle on the frame between the mattress and the wall.
