Wow, so these were delivered today at 6:45am on a Saturday… First off, I feel super fortunate to have purchased these for the price I got them. I received an alert from Amazon that they would be available so I acted on it and purchased it ASAP for about $100 less than I am seeing them for sale by other vendors currently (7/2020). So kudos to savings.
I had been hesitant to how these worked, but after using them and studying them for a bit, I am very satisfied. I can’t talk about longevity yet, but it does seem to be built well. I took a couple pictures to show the mechanism that helps hold the weights onto the handles, but know that it is engineered to be held by several measures, so it seems pretty secure even though the main U shaped pin is made of a plastic.
I weighed the entire unit (which is suppose to be 24 lbs) it weighed in at 24.3 lbs., not bad, I guess.
Overall, I’m pleased. In the age of COVID-19, it is extremely difficult to find any home gym equipment, so I am grateful to have these and pleased that they have a very small foot print in my home and not very noisy at all!

I’ve had my eye on power blocks for years but eventually opted for a more traditional gym. I recently moved for work and needed a more portable solution to use on the road and I’m a little disappointed for the price. The dividers that lock the weights in are super flimsy and get wedged halfway between one weight plate and another more times than not. It feels like something that will break relatively quickly. Plus it is super frustrating to be in between sets and have to fight with it to change your weights. If I had it to do over again I would have probably gone with a different system.

This is my second set of these weights. I get the ones that go up to 24lbs. I had my first set for 6 years before giving them away when we moved from Maui to Oregon. They stayed in amazing condition and aren’t nearly as bulky as others. We tried other brands and they are so long you can’t get full range of motion and it’s literally effortless to change weights. Absolutely love these!!!

I bought these along with the PowerBlock EXP dumbells. It’s the perfect combination! The Sport 24 goes from 3 lbs – 24vlbs in 3 lb increments. It’s perfect for my wife because she needs smaller increment jumps. It’s also perfect for physical therapy exercises that target smaller muscle groups & need low weights.

Review of 24lb set:
First off someone made a review that said their dumbbells only weighed 21lb. I think they forgot the last weight in the box or it was missing one, both of mine came in at 23.9lb.
Cons: Plastic piece for weight selection. Works fine but a little worrisome if it were to break. Some movement of the weights in use/rattling. Not a big deal I think it comes with the territory with these kinds of dumbbells but something to note.
Pros: 3-24lbs in 3lb increments. This is great, much better than having to go up 5lb each time. The weight selection is quick and easy and rather enjoyable. While the weights rattle a bit in use they are secure and work fine. In fact whenever you have them in a pressing motion they are extra secured, meaning they would not fall off even without the pin (of course not recommended).
They are comfortable to grip and use. You may touch your forearm to the crossmember at times during certain movements (like wrist curls) but for the most part they work just like regular dumbbells. I have IronMaster dumbbells and these are a great addition for lighter weights. Also the weights are color coded to make it even easier/faster to change weights.

I purchased these to get myself started with weights. I wasn’t sure this came in a pair due to the description weight being 24lb. But it was 2 which have 24lb each.
The wedge handle is comfortable.
Switching weights is easy, and they take up the floor space equal to a pair of shoes.
Having free delivery with prime was a huge saving.
*Update. I have found these useful for some exercises, and the small increments are useful.
Although I have upgraded to the Powerblock Pro Exp incl stage 2, I still use the 24lb sport and find their size handy

I’ve been using regular dumbells for years, and didn’t have all the weights I needed. These are so convenient and take up less space. They are easy to use and adjust between the weight amounts. Very happy with my purchase. Ended up getting the 50lb set for my husband.

I was skeptical about 24lbs, but it’s plenty. These are more compact than I expected. About the size of a shoebox combined. The weights change super quick and I think the plastic dividers will hold up. I have used these almost every day since I got them. I think they are great and very practical.

Fantastic dumbell set for the money. However, I recommend going with the standard Powerblock set which goes up to 50lbs per dumbell. 24lb per dumbell is easy to outgrow.
