Bought this as a daily mechanical watch, and one of the first watches in my growing collection. Case feel is excellent, very smooth. Movement window is nice, dial is great. The numbers could be better either painted or a different shade of metal. Light, thin, comfortable. The band quality is great too! Seiko #1

This is the watch I’ve been searching for. Automatic winding AND manual winding, so no batteries to worry about. Auto wind doesn’t require much movement to function. Long reserve life on the mainspring.
Easy to see, very little reflective glare from the crystal.

It’s a well balanced and good looking militar style watch. The automatic system works fine and it’s simple to use for starters like me.
It’s a very light watch and with the fabric strap it’s easy to wear as well. Very casual look, will probably try a brown leather strap as well to make it more wearable.

I have had this watch for about 7 months and worn it off and on for that time. it is a good looking watch and easy to wear. the NATO strap wasn’t quite right for me so I swapped it for a single pass version and its much better for me. The dial is beautiful and the light plays off the numerals. combine this with the slightly domed mineral crystal its very nice to look at. I gave it 3 stars across the board for the following reasons: no screw-down crown, would prefer a sapphire crystal, its a little thick, lume is nothing exciting.
Bottom line. if you’re looking for a mechanical field watch this is a worthy option, if the movement gets destroyed its easy to find a replacement.

The watch itself is great. its durable tells good time off by about a minute a day but the strap on the other hand leaves a little to be desired. The hole for the size that fits my wrist is a little tight. So it will wear through and eventually tear through to the next hole which is to loose. this has happened to me 2 times. besides that no complaints good looking watch.

I had considered other feild watches such as the Hamilton khaki, however opted for this seiko due to the better water resistance. The indices on the watch are very nicely done and catch the light in a interesting way. I also appreciate the red seconds hand as well.

I really like my watch, it keeps very good time.
Things I don’t like about it are:
1. The lens isn’t crystal and easily scratched. You can’t have them buffed out rather you have to replace the lens.
2. The band isn’t very sturdy and finding a replacement is next to impossible.
Over all I’m happy with it for what I bought it for.
