I bought this for my 9 year old daughter. She loved making the bowls and choosing the colours to mix together. The directions gave different options for different colour combinations and effects. The only complaint was when it was time to paint/decorate the bowls we found the paint and glue were dried out completely.

I recently purchased the “craft n clay” kit for my kids, aged 8 and above, and overall, it was a good experience. The kit comes with colorful clay, which is perfect for sparking creativity. However, it’s important to note that the clay quantity is quite limited. The baking part requires full adult supervision, so parents should be actively involved.
The kit includes instructions for creating various designs, and while most of the instructions were clear, I did encounter an issue with the strip quartz design instructions. Part of it was missing, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the checkboard design was simple, although it did involve cutting the clay into very small pieces. The clay itself is vibrant in color, but it’s not very thick; it’s quite thin. This means that you might run out of certain colors before completing your project.
Despite these minor setbacks, my kids had a fun time with the kit. With some additional clay or clearer instructions, this kit would easily be a 5-star product. It’s a great creative outlet for kids, but be prepared to supplement the clay supply if needed.
Unfortunately the end result was not near the samples shown and that was heart-wrenching and disappointing my new this is depend on your familiarity with the techniques how good you are in arts and clay but for somebody novice this was a total failure.

The clay that came in the kit was dry and crumbly before we even touched it. Tried to recondition it and nothing but the white clay could be salvaged and that was quite the time and labour intensive pain to do that. Save yourself time and money and buy straight up clay and make your own dishes without the kit.

The clay no matter how much I rolled it in my hands or added water was hard as rocks and just crumbled everywhere. What a waste of money I could not craft with it. Purchased for my daughter who is super disappointed.

UPDATE company reached out and sent a replacement set of clay. This worked great and she was able to make 3 dishes …or at least her version of a dish
Every package of clay was dried out and crumbled when we opened.
My kid was pretty disappointed.

The dishes do not harden after baking. They are easily bendable and can be broken. I am looking for a glaze to put on them and re-bake. My 11 year old and her friend still really enjoyed making them. They are cute, but not sure how long they’ll hold up.
