I tried 5 different cables and even transceivers, but none would work with the Intel X710, but this Twinax cable is working great.

I recently upgraded my network infrastructure to support 10GB data transfer speeds. As part of this upgrade, I needed to replace my existing SFP+ cables with new ones that could handle the increased bandwidth. I am very happy with this decision. The 10Gtek cable is a high-quality product that is easy to install and use. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and reliability. I have not experienced any dropped packets or errors since installing the cable.

First time DAC purchase and I was caught off guard by the length of the cable since the DAC enclosures take up a good portion of the cable. I had thought these were longer than 6″ patch cables and there would be more usable length but that is not the case. This was my error though, and learn from my mistake by making sure to check the image showing the length of the cables in comparison to the rack. I fortunately lucked out and bought the shortest cable and only needed to go 1U so the chart was true to size.
Outside of that, this so far has worked flawlessly. I used it to connect my UDM-SE and USW-Pro Max from Unifi/Ubiquity. The devices are showing full 10G connection.
Since this is my first dive into any fiber cables / transceivers I don’t have a lot I feel I can add about the quality and features of this cable. As far as I’m concerned it was easy to install and is working as advertised. I plan to purchase more from this vendor in the future if my stack continues to grow!

This was a great way to add the 10 GB connection for my home server. Does not have the expandability as most cards but if you only want one 10GB connection this is a great solution!

The cable didn’t actually work for me, but not at all a fault with the cable. I tried to connect a HP ProCurve 2910al-48G-PoE+ (J9148A) switch to a MikroTik Hex S router, but they couldn’t communicate with each other. When I checked the logs on the switch, there was a warning that a hotplug attempt had been made on one of the Dual-Personality (SFP) ports with a “Non-Genuine-HP DAC cable” followed by an admonition to only use Genuine HP products.
A genuine HP cable costs over 20x what this cable cost me, and both the router and switch are limited to 1 Gb speeds anyway, so I returned this cable and just used a 3-foot CAT5e to connect the two instead.
This DAC is probably fantastic, but because of HP’s draconian business practices, I won’t ever know, and have to waste one of my precious few ethernet ports on the Hex.
Five stars for the excellent customer service from Amazon and 10Gtek.

Was nervous about potential compatibility issues, but I plugged the cable into my Netgear GS728TPP and Ubiquiti US-24 SFP ports (1 GB), and they were instantaneously connected. No reboot or restart required.
For those less technical, such as myself, this is a complete product, with no gotchas. Plug and Play.
