These things make transplanting a lot easier. When ready you can just transplant bag and all into the larger container. The roots grow through these things as if they aren’t even there. Not only makes the process easier but can greatly reduce the amount of transplant shock.

These nursery bags are very very flimsy and thin and definitely not in the same category as a fabric grow bag. They are more along the lines of those reusable grocery bags but so think you can see through them.
I’m assuming the term “nursery bag” basically means disposable because these will tear will even a slight bit of force.
They don’t keep their shape well at all so standing them up can be challenging and water will run right out of the sides.

Update: they did not break down in the ground after a season – Midwest, longer planting season. However I would not change the rating as I used them again this year. Some were reused from last year – BONUS!
I need to use these for a full season but so far they are working exactly as wanted, allowing me to fit a lot more into a small space and I will be able to plant straight into the ground. I filled some fuller than others. I have them packed into trays tightly and that helps hold their shape. Used to start calla, elephant ear and begonia bulbs off early inside ready to plant in containers and ground outside – next week! I give some plants as gifts and I simply popped them in old plastic pots for support.

These are amazing for keeping mother plants for a good amount of time controlled. I can keep mine for around 3 months and still have good size to them ( around 4ft tall with many branches, easily 50 clones) while still using organic soil from Build A Soil!

So, a “tear resistant” perforated polypropylene (PP) nursery bag in which to raise seedlings. Holds soil, oxygenates roots and drains excess water. Transplant the seedlings by simply burying the bag full of plant, soil and rootball inside a larger pot.
What could go wrong? The PP plastic bag will quickly biodegrade and the roots can expand into the pot. There are pictures of roots growing through the bag. Right?
Wrong. It takes PP 20-30 years to biodegrade PP underground. A few roots can escape but the PP
holes in the plastic fiber are strong (tear proof) and actually trap more roots than they allow to pass.
A good example of this problem is the popular Ziffy pods/plugs. When moistened the flat plugs expand into soilless germination pods contained in tiny cloth bags. The pods were recently debunked because the bags were strangling seedling root growth. Ziffy had to change their growing instructions to add a final step where the planter cuts.or removes the bag before transplanting.
I intend to place a little perlite into the bottom of these bags and when they are full of roots I intend to slash the sides of the bags with an exacto knife to free the roots. I may also try experimenting with some of the thin white nursery bags.

These little fabric pots are awesome, They are strong, actually very strong.
They stretch.
I love them
Coleman –
Flimsy, not well made, virtually see through, pinched bottoms means they dont sit upright properly when filled. Worth maybe $5 for the 50. $10 TOPS.

These bags are dopeeee! Roots grow right through the fabric so they can be transplanted without shocking the plants. It saves a lot of time when transplanting because they just keep on growing instead of taking a couple day buffer period in between pots. My go to for starter pots now!

Es un producto muy dinámico, puedes trasplantar fácilmente y se lava y puede usarse de nuevo.
Nikolas Keene –
These worked wonderful and do not have to be removed before placing in next container
Andria-Neicohl –
These drain well, they allow growth easily, they’re a great size and light weight. I am beyond happy with the performance!
I highly recommend.
