Long throw really helps with not leaving wheel marks. Takes a bit more time with deep scratches but saves time overall with three stage process overall verses non orbitals system.

This buffer does a great job in the hands of a careful and experienced detailer. The large orbit makes the job go faster. If you know how to handle a buffer I would recommend this product. If you are new to detailing with a buffer buy something with a shorter throw or you will hurt yourself and/or your ride. Use high quality name brand pads and polish.

Dose it kill swirls? Yes.
Will it make your hand numb from vibration? Yes.
Is the speed switch reliable? No it will start off on speed 1 2 and sometimes 3 but not 4 5 6 that happen to be the most used speeds. I have used this for buffing 1 or 2 cars before it started cutting out now after almost a year and a few cars later its reliable to not start at the desired speed. I’ve been buffing classic cars for over 17 years.

I was not sure which route I wanted to go. Rupees just seemed crazy expensive and I heard you have to do a washer mod to get it to work properly. I had a version of the Flex and I liked it until it burned up. I almost went that route again because I wanted to be able to do some cutting….. (has forced drive) but I thought I would try the SK and see what happens. Well, coupled with MF pad this thing lived up to its name. Serious Swirl Killer unit here. It was taking care of the swirls at a much faster pace than the forced drive unit I was using that I burned up. I loved this Swirl Killer so much, that after 2 days polishing I ordered the Mini to add to the collection.
