I use this for my R33. It’s definitely a tight fit in the stock airbox with the thick silicon seal but seals up great.

Took a little work to get the filter assembly back together as this filter seems to have a slightly thicker flange than other replacements. I expect that to go away as the filter is continually compressed over time. Other than that it fit well and I expect a savings over the long run since I can clean it. Seems to be well made. Overall I’m happy with it. I’ve used other AEM Dryflow filters in the past. I’ve always like the fact that they don’t use oil like the K&Ns so you don’t have to worry about over oiling and damaging your mass air sensor.

I read alot of the reviews positive/negative but I have to say
this air filter flows well in my 2018 Nissan maxima
Throttle response improved, low end torque and top end horsepower
hasn’t increased but the car is more efficient and that’s basically the goal
for an aftermarket air filter, now I’ll just have to see if mpg improves
But I do recommend this filter, definitely a good value

Bought this guy to shut up the kids working at the oil change shop. Every time my wife took in her Nissan Murano to get the oil changed they would hassle her about her โhorribly dirtyโ air filter, despite it being fine. Now they pull this out, put it back and tell her it looks great. Mission accomplished, and yes, it works great too and doesnt require oiling.

No problems, car is running smoothly

Opened up the air filter housing, slipped right in. No cutting or trying to reshape. Package came in good condition with everything inside. Although I have yet to try to clean it as the car I put this in (2015 Altima 3.5 SL) is mostly a backup if either of the two trucks we have break down. Also my first time trying a dryflow filter and a AEM brand filter. The box it came in is the same as the K&N filter minus all the oily residue left on the plastic wrapper that the filter comes in. All of the contents were in the box as well. Install sheet, a sticker, another sticker to put on the air filter housing lid and the filter itself. Pretty happy so far.

Fuel mileage improved by 0.2% not sure if it’s just the weather or this filter actually works better.
Power seems to be the same

Installed in a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder and noticed performance right away. Acceleration is faster and able to reach highway speeds quicker and smoother. Love this one over the K and N (even though it looks like it is made by K and N) as it’s a dry filter and no need to oil it. Mileage has improved from 15 down to 13.

Like some other reviewers. I had issues getting air box to close. On the box it came in, it shows a bunch of models that it fits. My 1994 Pathfinder was not listed. I compared it to old filter and they were the same outside dimensions roughly. I put in and so had to really pull tabs hard to get it to seal. Finally did. Installed and working now, but a serious chore. If it doesnโt compress, next time I will trim it down some to make it easier. Seems like a high quality filter for a good price. Amazon listed it as a fit. Not sure who is responsible. So that is the reason for 4 stars.

Works great

So this AEM filter overall is decent. Where it excels is in ease of installation on my 2018 Murano, along with its durability and reusability. Does a great job filtering and gives a modest improvement in vehicle efficiency.
As a longtime user of K&N air filters, I’d bought this one in the hopes it would be easier to clean and reuse, seeing it’s a “dry” filter. Unfortunately this aspect seems to make it a monumental pain to clean. It took me over an hour, with four rounds of the spray cleaner, light brushing and rinsing to get it clean, where better than 95% of the crud was out of the filter.
I contrast this against my experience with K&N’s “wet” filters, which usually took one our two shots of the cleaner and rinszing to get the gunk out, then a reoil with their spray. I also noticed that this filter seems more fragile to the cleaning process than the K&Ns are.
Based on this, I am likely going to order a K&N wet filter and toss this one.

Filter looks robust, and hopefully it will preform as advertised. Filter was a tight fit into the existing vehicle air box, ensure you check this out when installed.

Filter fits into airbox but you will not be able to close airbox, i have trued everything, just buy a K&N
