I don’t know about all the mileage hype, but it seems to provide a better airflow. I like the idea of being able to clean it and reuse it. We will see.
I replaced a recently replaced paper filter. Time will tell.

Super quick and easy to install on my 2016 Ford F-150 thanks to accessibility of air filter compartment. Noticed a bit better fuel economy ~0.5L for 100km which translates into 2.5%. Didn’t expect any “wow” numbers anyways. As soon as I installed it, the truck became noticeably more responsive to accelerator pedal. Overall: good air filter, recommend.

Definitely would recommend fit my 2019 F150 with 3.5 Ecoboost. Just FYI before installing the air filter make sure you check the clean side of the filter I found decent size pieces of rubber that I had to remove if I didn’t notice it that would have got sucked up into my engine.

My 2012 F-150 5.0 was in need of a new air filter. Like many people out there, I was faced with the choice of a disposable air filter or a reusable air filter. My previous truck was a Toyota Tacoma that I used an oiled K&N air filter in. The K&N worked well for about the first 100 miles or so, but then the gas mileage tanked. I had also read reviews online that the K&N let in too much junk into the engine.
Needless to say, the K&N was not an option. I decided to give the AEM DryFlow filter a shot. I am glad I did.
Pros:
1)I’ve noticed a slight bump in gas mileage. Around the same time I replaced the stock filter with the AEM, a major construction project started that slowed down my drive to work. Despite the added stop and go due to the new construction traffic, I noticed a bump of .3 to .4 MPG.
2) There is a noticeable increase in throttle response.
3) AEM provides great filtration.
4) The filter is cleanable/reusable
Cons (ish?):
1) The price is a bit high at first. Although this filter will pay for itself in the next year or so.

I’ve used K&M in the past and have recently been shying away due to the implicit threat of harming MAF sensors and such further down the line. This was a solid fit, high flow, and the cleaning instructions (haven’t done it yet) look basic. No special tools or fluids.
Are you going to notice more horsepower or better mileage, not likely. My 2012 F150 w/ Coyote is pretty much stock and short of improvements over the replacement of the “dirty” stock filter it does well. If you look at even a 2 – 5% gain are you really even going to notice? (Not likely).
