I used these brake pads for front brakes of my Toyota 2017 RAV4 XLE trim. The parts came with stainless steel clips as a kit. The parts match the factory pads perfectly. The brake pad are quite. Good braking. I have used the same brand of pads for my Accord previously and seem to provide good braking and long life. For long time, I was always using factory brake pads because I once had a bad experience with after market pads. However, since I started using the Akebono brake pads, I never looked back. I have been using them for last 20 years. Centric rotors and Akebono brake pads are now my standard for all the cars my family owns. Note that for 2019 Toyota RAV4, the brake rotor for base trim is smaller than the rotors for the higher trim levels, like XLE. The Akebono Part# ACT1211 fits the XLE trim which has a 296 mm diameter rotor. Part# ACT1211A comes with stailess steel clips.
Make sure you buy silicone grease and lubricate the sliding master cylinder pins. Mine were not sufficiently lubricated and they had seized causing the original factory pads to wear unevenly. The outer pads were worn out close to the metal while the inner pads still had about 50% brake pads left.

Even though Amazon says that it should fit my 2015 Rav4, it did not. See the included picture of the original OEM pad on the left and the new pad on the right. It’s a good half inch longer, which is why it wouldn’t fit. This is supposed to be the OEM replacement brake pad for this vehicle. Obviously it’s not the part that Amazon says it is because that part # should be the OEM replacement. It is another indicator of Amazon’s suspect quality control. Went to Autozone to get pads that actually fit.

Had an unfortunate problem with brake pads from A different supplier so I chose to go with Akebono for my 2016 Toyota RAV4. About all I can tell you is they fit perfect, everything about them is quality. Went on exactly like they are supposed to, everything was made exactly precise to the Toyota caliper, it is the best. Go ahead and try other brake pads, and then after you get done with enough frustration, head back to Akebono and never try a different pad again!!

Lesson learned on some other lesser brand pads, sure they stopped ok but they were not smooth and the amount of dust was completely unacceptable. Spend a few more bucks and get these, they are 100% worth the cost. New hardware and grease included, dead silent stopping and next to no dust and back to OEM perfect smooth stops again. Akebono are the go to for my Toyota / Lexus rides.

I purchased a brake kit with pads, rotors, and calipers. The pads made noise. Then purchased some Wagner brake pads. Again they made noise. Finally purchased the Akebono brake pads and all was quiet. These are great pads and I’m not sold and will never use anything else.

Replaced the front disc brake pads on our 2010 RAV4 Limited (70K miles) with these highly rated Akebono brake pads a few months ago and am very happy with them to date.
All of the hardware is included. I like to use NAPA Sil-Glyde Lubricant on all of the moving parts including the backs of the pads where they meet the piston as well as all of the keepers.
Braking is smooth, no vibrations, no noise, no dust and they stop on a dime.

These brake pads fit the Japanese variant of the RAV 4 Sport (5-seater and 2.4L engine). I especially like that this kit comes with all the brake hardware, and a small packet of Moly Brake Lube.
Fitment was easy, and the pads are performing well with minimal noise and dust. Will update at the end of life to indicate its wear characteristics.
