Model I have: Alesis Prestige Artist – (30 Voices/256 notes polyphony)
Context:
I’m no pianist. So take this with a grain of salt. Learning to play the piano is a bucket-list item, and a bit of an old dream.
Pros/cons.
The piano is well packaged.
Very sober & classy appearance.
Menu is simple to use & understand.
Sound through both speakers and headphones is very impressive both in quality and volume-wise.
Keys are solid-feeling, a bit “thumpy” on the return, but not a deal breaker.
Sustain pedal is a solid affair.
After watching many “For beginners” piano reviews and lists of suggested models at I’ve realized that most suggestions are overboard on budgets required. One piano teacher running a YT channel called “Jeremy See” suggested a Alesis amongst others in a video, and after watching a load of vids, I kept coming back to this one. So, It’s now in my studio.
I’ve made my choice a while ago, and perhaps recommendations around the web have changed, but my mind was set.

I bought this to replace a “used to me 30 years ago” regular piano. I wanted something electric due to fluctuating humidity issues in our home and the ability to use headphones to practice when others in the house are sleeping. I researched many different electric keyboards and settled on this one. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! I also like the free lessons that come with it (although I haven’t used them yet due to lack of time for those wishing to learn piano). The sound quality is great and I am pleased with how it feels much like a real piano with many other features. I love the layering of sound features that is available. I would recommend this to beginners and experienced piano players. It is much more easily portable than a regular piano. I have had this since September 2022 and have yet to try all of the features, but I intend to once life settles down a bit. Overall, a great purchase and well worth the money. The bench is study and the accessory pedal was well worth the extra money as well.

The deliver was late. But the piano is super. We bought a artist brand with grand piano option. The sound and graded hammer action keys are exactly like the acoustic piece. So it is so inviting to sit aside listening while almost falling in sleep. I believe add layer and split function makes more fun to practice. Just say worth to buy.

The samples are really good, the key action is ok, lots of nice features … but oh my such noisy keys! Maybe some additional felt could help the situation but I found that using headphones is the best way to minimize the sound of the keys banging on the felt and whatever else is behind the keys.

I recently purchased the Alesis Prestige Artist – 88 Key Digital Piano, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with its performance, quality, and design. This digital piano has exceeded my expectations in every way possible.
The sound quality is outstanding. The 88 fully weighted keys provide an authentic playing experience that mimics the feel of an acoustic piano.
The materials and the pedals are also well-made and provide a responsive and realistic playing experience.
What I appreciate most about this digital piano is its versatility. It has a variety of features that allow me to customize my playing experience to suit my preferences.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Alesis Prestige Artist – 88 Key Digital Piano to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile, and authentic playing experience. The sound quality, materials, and features are all exceptional, and I am confident that this piano will exceed your expectations. If you are a professional pianist, a serious student, or a passionate music enthusiast, then the Alesis Prestige Artist is a fantastic choice

Ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Bin mit Klang und Tastatur sehr zufrieden.

Weighted keys, full range keys , quite adequate for small rock group. If you’re looking for professional performance instrument with a zillion different sounds, keep looking , this won’t meet your needs , but is quite hot for average user

After doing my research I’ve chosen this one and never regretted it. It was a surprise gift for a family member who is a beginner, so all apps it came with were in handy.
customer –
I searched the internet for quite a while, and thought I would try out this keyboard, and wanted to like it, but I have some issues with it. Be forewarned though, I’ve been playing violin for eleven and a half years, and my ears are super particular. The thing that I noticed first was the quality of the speakers. It’s cool that it has 8 speakers or whatever, but what does it matter when some of them buzz even when the volume is off? I’ll admit, most people wouldn’t notice this, and even my friend who’s been playing piano since he was 8 didn’t notice this until I showed him. The quality was not bad, but I found that if you really clunked hard on the lowish mid-range keys, the speakers had trouble not fuzzing and distorting the sound. My family couldn’t tell though, so you probably won’t either unless you have super sensitive ears. But maybe I got unlucky with the speakers. Some people seem really happy with this product.
I’d say this is perfect for beginners who want to spend $600, except for the fact that you could get something cheaper like the recital grand which is $100, and only has less polyphony (how many different sounds the speakers can play at the same time), no display, and less voices. Most people consider it the best keyboard under $500.
Don’t get me wrong, the piano sounds aren’t bad, they don’t beat a real piano’s, but for how much it costs (with all the other features included) it’s pretty good. But if you want them to sound better, use headphones or connect it to an amp.
The key action was the second thing that bothered me. It’s so loud. This is probably the most complained subject throughout the reviews. They feel pretty good, they’re definitely weighted, but you can barely tell that they’re graded. It is much harder to press the keys closer to the back, but that’s a problem with most electronic keyboards. Another thing is that the keys feel so plasticky to me. Nothing like ivory, just straight up plastic.
Now the voices. Most of them are fine, I personally enjoyed the poly-synth the most, but some of them, especially the vibraphone, are very distorted near the top and bottom of the keyboard. The upright piano had the least distortion and out-of-tune-ness (I don’t know how else to say it) out of the piano sounds, but it still had problems at the very bottom.
I contacted alesis support, but they were stupid and didn’t answer both of my tickets for two weeks, and I returned this last minute, because I’d rather try something else.
My verdict is that unless you are a beginner who wants to spend $600 on a keyboard, don’t bother with this one. Do more research and get something else.

Toucher et sonorité agréables.
Très étonné de la qualité, du poids et de la robustesse pour ce prix.

i dont think you can beat this , at least at this price point . beginners should be able to get 2-3 years before they are ready for an upgrade. i have mine in a upstairs music room for private practice. i wanted one for downstairs so i could just play/practice whenever i had a few extra minutes , so i tried a cheap donner dp 45 , after 15 minutes i knew it what awful . its going back today. i ordered the prestige artist bundle for $600.00 . hope this helps.

I’m sure this is a great keyboard and i really wanted it but shipping problems and tracking were not right on usps system. I won’t ship on usps till they get there systums and storage corrected, the sad part about this is the us congress has even trying to find out what is going on.This in no way is amazons fauit as there shipping has always been excellent.
