Samuel Sherry –
Let me start off by saying, this book is like nothing you’ve ever read before. Alice in Wonderland is a wild ride through a fantastical world that will leave you questioning your sanity in the best possible way.
As soon as I cracked open the pages of this book, I knew I was in for a treat. Alice, our curious and slightly befuddled protagonist, stumbles upon a rabbit hole that leads her to a world unlike anything she’s ever seen. And let me tell you, the characters she encounters along the way are just as wacky and wonderful as she is.
From the perpetually late White Rabbit to the nonsensical Cheshire Cat, each character Alice meets in Wonderland is more outrageous than the last. And don’t even get me started on the Mad Hatter and his never-ending tea party. I mean, who knew there were so many ways to ruin a perfectly good cup of tea?
But beyond the absurdity and chaos of Wonderland, there’s a certain wisdom hidden within the pages of this book. As Alice navigates through the topsy-turvy world she finds herself in, she learns valuable lessons about growing up, taking risks, and staying true to herself. And let’s be real, who among us couldn’t use a little reminder about the importance of staying true to our weird and wonderful selves?
I laughed out loud more times than I can count while reading Alice in Wonderland. The witty banter and clever wordplay had me in stitches, and I found myself quoting the book to anyone who would listen. And trust me, there’s nothing quite like watching someone’s face light up when you tell them that “We’re all mad here.”
In conclusion, Alice in Wonderland is a literary masterpiece that will make you laugh, make you think, and make you appreciate the madness of the world around you. So do yourself a favor and fall down the rabbit hole of hilarity with Alice. I promise you won’t regret it.
Five out of five tea cups – highly recommended for anyone in need of a good chuckle and a healthy dose of whimsy in their life.

This 150 Anniversary publication of Alice in Wonderland is beautiful done. The book itself is nicely bound and the quality of the paper is excellent, even the jacket feels nice in your hand. The addition of Salvador Dali’s illustrations are delightful and add a reality to falling down the rabbit hole. And the mathematical interests that Dali adds bring a new dimension to reading “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” as an adult. I accidently order two books instead of one, but once in hand, I just had to have 4 more to give as gifts, once those arrived, I ordered two more. I originally ordered the book for my 5 year old Great-Grandson, then thought my 30 & 40 year old Grand Daughters would like copies. Then I ordered more for a couple of friends who are in their 80s. This book is suited for all age, especially for adults who long ago read earlier additions as a child. The delivery was very fast. The books arrived within a couple of days of ordering them.
Additional note: I am wondering why there are reviews for this 150th addition to Alice in Wonderland that have nothing to do with this particular book I reviewed. Several different
Alice books are reviewed into one lump, which makes the total review of this book incorrect.

I bought this book for my daughter. This quality of this book tells you that it is meant to be a keepsake. It is very well printed on high-quality paper, beautifully bound, and comes with a hard slipcover. The illustrations are amazing, but I found their style to be a bit dark for my 7-year old. The book is very text heavy, making it cumbersome to read aloud to a child, and a lot of the prose itself is on an adult level. Although my daughter is an excellent reader for her age, she has lost interest in trying to get through this book. I have read it myself, and while it captures the story of Alice in Wonderland nicely, it is, indeed a commitment to get through.

Beautiful book love that it’s the original story.

Even after 5 years, no other book has replaced this Masterpiece as my “best book”.
The plot is fantabulous, and the characters are attractive. The chain of events is sensational and highly genuine.
Eric –
This is a great book! The pages are flat and not wavy, nothing damaged, beautiful illustrations.

This review is specifically for the Salvador Dali illustrated edition reprint. Originally published in a limited edition over 50 years ago, all of Dali’s multitude of fans can now have this lovely edition in their own collections of the Master’s works.

Multiplicity of editions can be frustrating if you want to spend correctly just once. The AmazonClassics edition is a very good edition, almost perfect, it has X-Ray, the original illustrations in a good size, modern typography and a very polished formatting; except one part: there is a beautiful poem/tale, “The Mouse’s Tale”, in which a mishearing makes Alice to blend tail with tale and the story appears typographically in a quite beautiful shape of a tail, sinuously getting narrower til being as thick as an individual letter. Unfortunately in the AmazonClassics Edition the shape is rather like a sinuous river, it losses its meaning. I checked other kindle edition I have, “Alice in Wonderland: The Complete Collection” edition by Maplewood Books, the illustrations are a bit less clear (at least that was I felt), the formatting, although good, it’s not as exemplar as the AmazonClassics Edition but to my tranquility “The Mouse’s Tale” is formatted faithful to the original, so I will stick to that complete edition and I won’t get the second book, “Through the Looking-Glass,” in the AmazonClassics Edition, for fear that it will not express the intentions of the author.
Peculiar book. Although built of meaningful blocks of events, as a group they are surreal; if there exists a meaning, is meant for only an initiated in the reasons of the story. For what I read it could be for the amusement of a little girl friend of Lewis Carroll. I love it very much. Weird and all, inscrutable and unfathomable as it is to me at the same time it is exciting and mind blowing. Alice falls into another world, one that changes like a dream but whereas we as actors of our dreams change along them. Instead Alice lives them quite consciously, as one of those old memories of strange events or creatures you saw, in which you are not that sure if it actually happened or, being that fantastic, it was a reverie feed by being in an unfamiliar place.

I just couldn’t get enough of this book. I loved this book so well I can’t give it enough stars. This story and its characters was so pure and simple I could imagine myself with Alice. It was humorous…sometimes I was laughing so hard I was crying. I enjoyed this book more than words can express. This book, everything about it, was beautiful, simply beautiful. The setting was so vivid and expressionfilled. The funniest parts were when Alice met the Queen of Hearts. The were playing crochet with living animals. Then there was the time Alice was talking with the Gryphon and the Turtle. The Turtle was obviously extremely erroneous concerning education. He was describing his school to Alice, and he said “history” was “mystery” and a lot of other twisted up tales. Then there was the Rabbit, March Hare, Hatter, and the Dormouse, who alone made up a curious group. The Dormouse apparently had problems with a sleeping disorder, as he could fall asleep standing up. Then there was the Duchess, who had a baby who resembled a pig, and the silly cook who threw everything within reach at the Duchess. Another odd character (all of Lewis Carroll’s characters are odd) was the Chesire Cat, who could disappear just like that. There were many others, including a courtroom full of poor fools who toppled over when Alice made a sudden move, which I did not mention. The extra bossy Queen seemed to have a problem beheading anyone for the slightest offense, while the weak King pardoned them all behind her back. As it turned out, this whole story was all a strange dream which Alice had while she was resting outside with her big sister. Anyway, this was a wonderful book, and you should read it for yourself…one of the best books I’ve ever read, and yes, up till now. This book had a really great impression on me, and I found myself saddened to see myself coming to the end of it. I highly recommend this book to readers of all ages.
