I have a kitchenette in my workspace just for making coffee and snacks, but my cats kept dragging the coffee filters out of the trashcan. Enter this product! It works perfectly! No more coffee filters all over the floor! I bought a used one, which was a good price and still seemed practically new with no dents or scratches. The lid has a soft close and the small size is perfect for a little kitchen space where you’re just making coffee and throwing away banana peels here and there. It would also be great for a bathroom. 4-gallon trash bags fit perfectly and it seems to help trap odors, as well, as I no longer smell coffee when I walk by the kitchenette.

This trash container does what it is designed to do. It looks very nice and the foot pedal works just fine. The finish is very nice.
Now the negative points; 1) there is an OPEN bottom in the trash can (not the insert)–this is really asking for bug problems and smell, 2) the lifting mechanism is actually sort of flimsy. The piston lift is very, very thin and could easily be bend/broken, 3) the unit MUST stand away from the wall otherwise you will not be able to open the top to a hold position when you empty/change a bag, and 4) when you press the foot pedal the top DOES NOT open completely to allow you to dispose of larger or several items at once.
This IS a good trash can and should work for most people. However, it IS NOT the quality of a SimpleHuman model; of course it costs about $20.00 – $30.00 less than a SimpleHuman. This is why I purchased it in the first place. Again, you will probably like this container just be sure the “gear down” your expectations a little before/when getting it.

Keeps the ants out and the smells in. Can’t ask for much more. Good size and easy to use. Wish the slow closing lid was adjustable as sometimes it can get stuck so I always ensure it’s closed.

So glad I didn’t spend double on a more expensive brand. This can is just as sturdy, roomy and works very well. Like others have said, it doesn’t open straight up when the pedal is stepped on, but it only takes a fraction of a second to open it fully when changing out the trash bags. We’re using the 13 gallon bags from Costco, and they work very well. Stays in place around the rim. Very pleased.

This is an excellent kitchen trash can which accommodates regular tall kitchen garbage bags. It has a nice finish, and it is easy to keep clean. I like the removable insert and particularly like the “soft” close feature. This is a solid basic can, and that is what I wanted. I really don’t need a trash can that has a sensor or other whistles and bells. The manual pedal works just fine, and I don’t mind using it to open the can. It is just the trash, and this is fancy enough for me.

Description of this product is true as stated by the seller and the many reviews I’ve read. It keeps odor to a minimum, but I also use 13 gal. order resistant garbage bags. The inside bucket a major plus for easy cleaning, perfect! Even though it’s been in use for a week, the pedal works great and the top aligns flush with the garbage can when closed. The nickel finish is absolutely chic and wipes clean easily to remove fingerprints, if any. I’m very, very pleased with this purchase.
