I was using the NETGEAR AC1750 Cable Modem Router with XFINITY but was having to restart the router 2-4 times a day. I switched over to the Linksys and haven’t had any issues since. I have upwards to 20 devices connected on the WIFI at all times and the connectivity and speeds are excellent w/o buffering and having to perform restarts. Very impressed and satisfied with this device. I got this item for approx $80 on Amazon and the original NETGEAR device cost over $200. Would recommend it to those having constant connectivity issues with their cable router/modem connection.

I bought a certified refurbished linksys gateway for my house. It set up simply and i was up and running in no time . I tried to change the device name and password but had no access to do so . I called linksys tech support and after an apprx 30 minute wait i had a conversation with a operator who told me my gateway that i just bought had a expired warranty and the only way they can help me change my device name and wifi password is if i purchase the extended plan to speak to tech support for $39.99 for six months !!!
Needless to say i hung up defeated.
I purchased a separate 4 yr warranty covering the device on amazon but FFS LINKSYS ! Apply the human element and give me the simple info i needed .
They gave me a card that said refurbished product support ! What a bunch of crap.

I received a product that stated in the package it was a refurbished unit although I don’t remember reading that in the description. I had no problems setting it up other than the fact that WiFi would not work. After a long call to Linksys Customer Service (and them getting an attitude because I wouldn’t pay them to access my computer remotely to find out the issue) they determined that the warranty on the router, though they claim was in fact new, had run out and the router was faulty. After proving I had just purchased the router they said I could do a return through Amazon or send the product back to them which I did because that’s what they recommended. I had to put a credit card (not debit, they don’t accept that) on hold and pay for shipping on the faulty router in order for them to send me a new one. The new one arrived about a week later and it’s been working perfectly however I’ve received no contact from Linksys on whether or not they’ve received my old router.
Update: We’ve had this router about 2 years and devices are constantly dropped from our WiFi. Unplugging the router and restarting usually fixes the issue so I’m sure the router is the problem. Looking to buy a new one now as I’m seeing others have had thus issue as well.

Update: for couple months it keeps dropping internet. Especially with Netflix and Pluto. Lasted a year.
After spending $11 a month for 7 years renting a router from Infinity, I finally purchased this wifi modem router after slot of research. It’s faster speed than the rental and easy to set up. I streamed 4 movies at the same time to check for lagging and there wasn’t any. My only regret is not buying years ago and saving hundreds of dollars. Lynksys THANK YOU!!

I have spectrum and this works great. It was easy to install. It did take longer to connect at first. When I was on the phone with spectrum so they could connect my modem, it seemed to get stuck and wouldn’t work. The tech looked up the model and said spectrum didn’t support it. So he was giving me some options of modems and that would and while we were talking it connected! He said it usually only takes 2-4 minutes but it took maybe 8-10 minutes. But now that it’s connected, it’s working great, download speeds are fast.

I recently moved to a new apartment and decided to yolo and upgrade to a new modem-router combo. I found this gem while searching around and I’m very familiar with Linksys routers, so I immediately knew what I’m getting myself into. Now for the refurb part, I’m not very fond of ‘refurb’ techs as I’ve usually had some bad luck after a year or 2 of usage (but those are mostly phones). With this though, I can say that I haven’t had any problems after 15 days of up and connectivity with my ISP Wave Broadband here in Seattle. Previously, I owned a Netgear AC1700 Modem-Router combo. It worked great, but 2 weeks in and connectivity was getting cut. With this though, however, I haven’t had that problem (knock on wood). I am getting the ISP speed that I paid for all the way in my bedroom to watch 4K content and game in 4K with my Xbox One X while my girlfriend works through VPN and watches 4K netflix shows in the living room. I also have more devices connected without the speed getting affected. Would definitely recommend!

Received it, tried to connect it reading the instructions it brings. Couldn’t do it. Called customer service and it was a waste of time, The lady on the other side was SOOoOOOO trying to be nice that the help went to a 2nd place. I understand customer service reps need to be pleasant but sometimes they really over do it and forget the real issue the call was about. I spent 20 minutes and they couldn’t help me. I was getting frustrated. Finally after settling myself down, I re-read the instructions(by the way, these leave a lot to desire as instructions, items are not put in order…1/2/3/…etc) and in 1 side I found a password that was needed to start the connection. On the actual box there are 2 passwords written that are useless.
Basically, I like the modem/router, it works fine. Speeds are great and I am saving 11$ a month on Comcast rental. By the way, you do not need to call them to connect this.
Customer service from the seller, on the other hand, needs to be a little more technical and less attentive.
Update..Nov 9 2019.
Modem/router has been giving me problems with connection constantly. I have to reset it every day and sometimes even several times for it to work…and I am not overloading it. Running only 2 tv’s and 2 computers.
I would not recommend it.
