This device served its purpose, perfectly. I have interns who will be doing a lot of training in EVE-NG and packet tracer, but I wanted them to have experience with physical equipment. For the price, I am VERY pleased.

Does what is needed, no complaints

First, the company did an amazing job refurbishing and resetting the device to make first time setup as if it were brand new.
Except, the company did not reset the register value. Which took me a few days of troubleshooting to find out. They reset the register is used to recover the password to preform a system reset. But they did not set it back. Causing the device to not load the proper startup configuration.
Now the cisco portion of the device.
This device does a max speed of 100mbps speed for total throughput. This is pretty slow for most networks. The device specifications from cisco state speeds on ~1.2Gbps are capable on the device. But to get those speeds you are REQUIRED to buy a LICENSE from cisco, which is extremely difficult unless you are in an organization with an established cisco account.
While researching on the license, it took a few days to get a cisco account established. After that I got a temporary boost license from cisco to test device functionality before i buy a actual licens, which should get me to the 1.2Gbps speed. The boost license is still slow only allowing 300mbps.
Overall this device is good and cheap for testing, and for small networks with lower speeds. But if you want an router that is actually capable of high speeds don’t get this. The license alone cost more than a brand new router that comes with higher speeds by default.
