Great quality for zoom

To begin, the Kiyo Pro video quality is excellent. One thing that sets this webcam apart from others is the ability to do 60 FPS at 1080i.
The Kiyo Pro mount base Is dual articulated, making it very nice for mounting on a monitor.
The included USB cable is a heavy duty 900mA braded cable and is removable from the camera.
The end that connects to the camera is USB-C to USB-A, which I use to connect to my PCs USB 3.0 port. The included cable is only 1-meter long and I was able to use a 2-meter USB 3 cable extension with no issues.
I initially use this on a camera tripod. The Kiyo Pro’s articulated base can be connected to standard 1/4-20 camera mount. I quickly found this problematic, because the cable is very thick and would cause the vertical positioning to shift accidentally or when moving the head on the tripod. Instead, the camera can, and should, be unscrewed from the Razer mount, and instead directly onto the camera tripod.
As of writing, the Kiyo Pro driver is not natively supported by the Windows 10 operating system. Instead, when you initially connect the camera to your computer the camera has an auto launch for the driver.
On my Windows 11 PC the camera was immediately usable. The “RAZER GAMING SOFTWARE” Auto run has a number of software install options, that are not require for operating this camera.
The Razer Cortex software geared toward gamers and NOT useful for general content creators.
The Razer Synapse is useful for tweaking the camera’s features such as HDR, and field of view (FOV).
I would uninstall the Razer Cortex software, but it apparently is required for the Razer Synapse, which I want. I recommend going into your Startup apps settings and changing the Razer Cortex startup to disable.
I found the Kiyo Pro wide angle FOV very aggressive and causing straight lines towards the edge of the view to be curve quite noticeably. She’s between narrow medium or wide All depend on personal preference and how it affects the view.
The auto focus is very aggressive and takes a moment to stabilize especially when working with a 5โ10-meter FOV. I also used the Kiyo Pro to video in a larger room, again, the focus would adjust when people moved in and out of the FOV. I found setting the Razer to manual focus worked best for me.
I tried videoing with the Kiyo Pro at 60 FPS and 1080i, and it looked great. HDR is available only at 30 FPS, which is probably good enough for most people.
I was fortunate enough to my Kiyo Pro on a return deal, but to get the similar quality video recording, typically requires a digital SLR and a HDMI capture card which will run you far more than the Kiyo Pro.

I like this camera for my purposes. The autofocus is a bit finicky, but it works nicely for static targets. The dynamic light exposure is very good. It’s a bit overpriced but if you can get it on sale it’s great.

at first i was like to picey , but it was worth my other option was the logitech one , but it was to expensive this was a better choice

I was excited about this camera until I realized I had to unplug it and plug it back in every time any of my machines went to sleep, yes i tested it on 3 different ones, and yes itโs a common bug going by the online support community.
It turns out the problem is somewhat common, so I decided to update my firmwareโฆafter running various version installers I kept getting the same error, to call support.
Well, the camera is no longer supported so I have a brick. I used to trust Ryzer products, but after I am stuck with a defective camera and they systematically blocked firmware updates to it, I will avoid their products like the plague.

The image is good for a webcam. Not great without profesional lighting

Iโve tried so many webcams using multiple ring lights and was never satisfied. This Razer Kiyo pro eliminates the need for ring lights. The HD is impressively clear and sharp. I needed to learn how to use the settings. If you are tech savvy you will find it easy. For less tech-wise it is doable with great results

Picture is great especially with HDR although it is a big webcam
