The front and surround speakers sound great. Excellent vocal clarity. The sub is lacking for the advertised power rating. Great for a bedroom, but not a large living room.

I would strongly recommend going with a different brand, if at all possible. This is my second LG sound bar. With the first, the subwoofer died within days. The sound bar itself was still decent and provided better sound than the tv internal speakers, so I decided to keep it rather than hassle with a return. This current sound bar has better audio than the last (more channels) and so far the subwoofer seems to be working fine. However, I wanted this model for the rear speakers, and they do not work at all. Wireless receiver shows a connection, but after checking and rechecking the speaker wire connections, there is still zero audio coming from rear speakers.

This system is amazing It sinks with the television as long as it’s an LG television. It sounds amazing I put Rio on for my daughter who is almost two and the music was so loud that she was dancing and laughing like she was at a club. The surround sound synced up very nicely and I am enjoying this system. I have only used the DTS virtual x setting along with the Dolby setting within the system and on the TV. But so far I’m pleased I haven’t had a chance to use it for music yet but ,I will.

Renewed, refurbished, whatever…I would have been happy to give it a shot if it had arrived decently packaged and in a new-like condition. Instead, the box wasn’t even taped properly and then when I opened it a jagged piece of cardboard lined the top. Each piece of the system had no plastic or protective sleeve and the sound bar hade a partially removed sticker on the bottom side. The other side had marks all across the speaker mesh from rubbing against the cardboard. That being said, the box was the original and it was big and heavy. No doubt it was going to sound good and was high quality. I already have an LG SL5Y sound bar that sounds great and that I love. I really wish this one would have shown up in better condition because it was a great deal. But it’s condition didn’t give me the confidence I needed to even remove it from the box.

Omg, when I tell you I was very nervous about this purchase due to it being refurbished. It didn’t come with any instructions but the hookup was so easy I was surprised I didn’t need them. I did upload the manual online to figure out the sound settings. It sounds amazing with my LG television. Very happy with this purchase.

Es un Teatro muy bonito, y las bocinas de tras muy funcionales, por su conexión vÃa bluetooth, el sonido es envolvente peroooo, yo esperaba un sonido mas cristalino, la barra se escucha bien pero a mi gusto le falta que pongan mas atencion en la claridad de las pistas, ya que sigue siendo ese sonido caracterÃstico del las barras (como encerrado, falto de cristalino), el subwoofer, me parece pequeño al sonido que emite le falta cuerpo, no se escucha el tamborazo que se dispersa en toda la casa, sino un tamborazo sencillo que dura poco, en fin espero me entiendan jejeje, es asi como yo vivo los sonidos, la voy a conservar por el precio ya que brincar a la que sigue es el doble de dinero y pues… bajara de precio pronto por como avance la tecnologia.

i’ll make it quick, I returned it because the rear speakers weren’t working. never powered on, was missing paper work, had the LG sticker halfway ripped off, and it was dirty like they didn’t clean it

I snagged this set for my new LG 75QNED80 panel.
I am docking a star for 4 reasons.
1.) The original LG label has been peeled off and replaced with another label from either the seller or whom refurbished the product.
2.) Has previous owners pet hair on it. Nothing I can’t clean but if you’re gonna label it as Excellent, clean the dang thing I shouldn’t have someone’s crap on it. Thankfully a Clorox wipe and a rag took care of it all.
3.) The warranty option i paid an extra 20 dollars for. Covers absolutely NOTHING except the chance of a short. Drops, spills ect are not covered and I get some of them, but this has a rear set of speakers. Speakers you’re going to want to use stands for or place strategically and absolutely could manage to fall and be damaged somehow. The terms vs the advertisement do not match at all. So won’t matter what happens, I’mma push for a short for any issue I encounter.
4.) Do yourself justice and get some quality copper speaker wire. I have had a roll sitting for a long time and the wire that came with these, I laughed at the poor thickness and how thin they were.
Enough of the cons. To those who are claiming a lack of bass and all, if you read instructions it states to get the LG Soundbar app. Be sure to do so. It runs needed updates, has equalizer settings, ect. For my panel and I imagine others, for each input you’ll need to use the app to set your sound to how you want it. The app made it ridiculously friendly and enabled the full set of speakers as from the get go, Standard does not expand the sound for the full array and even at low sound levels, these are great. I am using the AI option across 3 inputs and the difference is crystal clear voices, great bass, great highs. My rear set is forward facing for now because of cats and limited space but dang. What an upgrade from my 360 watt LG 2.1 bar that is now for my PC, and I had no issue with it I snagged these because they retail for a lot more, and under 200 I had to risk it because the excitement of my new TV. This is a fantastic audio product and it’s worth the risk and the set-up time (took me a but because i read the manual, explored the app, had to strip and cut my own wires). The rear pair connected to the system with out much involvement from me. My go to test for feeling out the dynamics of the audio and settling for the AI mode was the TRON Legacy OST, a few metal and rock bands, some pop and rap too. Just all sorts of things. I did very minor tweaks and as a whole experience bravo.
Spanning a few different audio options I want to say, this really brings out production a lot so if the source is poor, production poor or the source this will highlight it, while trying to do it’s best to give you a good experience.
This may not be the perfect system for some. If you want a bigger, more full experience full of thunder bass and all, vs a wholesome clear cut experience may want to consider spending that top dollar on something with over all more wattage/delivery but this is a huge step up from a 2.1 or 3.1 experience.
