I have ethernet, power a couple of USB charging cables and an external monitor plugged into this – and connection to the laptop (Dell Inspiron) is just one USB-C cable. Laptop sits on an elevated “arm” so ithe latop doesnt use desk space and the screen is at the same height as the monitor. Makes a really good 2 screen display – and when I plug the laptop back in the second monitor comes to life without having to do anything. Had one of these for about 2 years and it had sporadicly unreliable power connection – so just bought another one and this is much better. Very reliable so far

I run two 24″ monitors off hdmi. I could connect a 3rd screen via the display port if I needed to. Multiple USB for Bluetooth mouse/keyboard. Headphone jack socket. Network RJ45 CAT5 connection. I take laptop to work and also work from home. Just connect 1 usb to laptop and connect to everything. Really good.

I bought this for my Alienware X14 to charge it and it did not work (it reported only 60w of charging) they shipped it with the 130W adapter when the listing was 180w, i reached out to the seller and they immediately sent me a 180w adapter. very good customer service. the fault lies on dell for selling docks that they claim can power x14’s but they cant. wound up paying full price to dell for their oem adapter and it works flawlessly. so if you need a dock for your dell these are great. if you need a full wattage charger for your laptop and hoping this all in one dock can do it it wont for the Alienware line..uncertain for the rest of the dell line.

Absolutely Love this docking station!!
I have purchased and returned two other 9in1 / 11in1 USB-C docking stations for various reasons. The main reason was “unreliability”, and no ability to add a power supply.
The big reason I Love this docking station is that it comes with an 180 watt/9.23Amp power supply, and supports USB-C and Thunderbolt connections.
I wanted a dock that gave me the ability to hit a key on my external keyboard and the laptop wakes up and automatically connects to all attached devices without any needed interactions, and no reboot required, and this dock does all of that!
I have a Dell 7490 laptop and didn’t want to be forced to disconnect and re-connect all my computer peripherals every time I take my laptop with me. It wouldn’t be long before the USB, HDMI, Mini-Display port, and power connections started to loosen up and become troublesome or unusable.
This docking station allows me to connect just one USB-C/Thunderbolt connection and everything is connected without rebooting.
Currently, I use the dock to connect to a 24″ monitor (Mini Display Port), a 42″ 4K TV (HDMI), and also utilize the laptop screen (3 displays in total), external keyboard, mouse, and a 2000 Gig back-up drive connected to a powered USB 3 port. I still have a one USB2 port, and 3 USB3 ports left open & unused for other devices if needed. (I use a regular wired USB2 keyboard because a Bluetooth, or 2.4 RF keyboard won’t wake-up the laptop unless it was always left in sleep-mode at all times rather than completely powered down).
And another big plus for me is that that same connection also powers/charges the laptop.
Most of the other docking stations I looked into did not come with a power supply which would be required to reliably power everything I have connected, especially because of the back-up drive.
A 180 watt/9.23Amp power supply itself costs considerably much more than this “Renewed” docking station that comes with a 180 watt/9.23Amp power supply.
My desk is so much less cluttered now (allot less of a birds nest of wires) since I only need to plug one cord into my laptop, I can hide all needed wires behind my desk..
The docking station & power supply look as if it were brand new, very high-quality build, and it costs considerably less than a no name/generic 8in1 Docking Station that usually does not come with a power supply. And a good quality, UL listed/certified power supply is rather pricey and needed if you want reliability and safety, and most likely not be able to power/charge the laptop.
The only item I “wish” that this dock had was a Powered USC-C output port for a small higher speed USB-C NVME back-up drive. But my current USB3 back-up drive takes about 8 minutes to create a complete back-up clone of the 512gig NVME hard drive currently in my laptop which is about 50% full.
But, in order to get all those features in a quality made dock, it would have cost hundreds of dollars more.
If you are looking for a docking station and don’t require a powered USB-C Out port on the dock, this is the docking station to purchase!
I didn’t need to install any drivers or firmware so I believe it would work with any Windows 7/8/10/11 computer with a USB-C/Thunderbolt port. I have done several hours of research when looking for a dock that would meet my needs, and from all I have read, it will work with any Windows 7/8/10/11 computer with a USB-C/Thunderbolt port.
I have purchased several “renewed” electronics, computer related items from Amazon Renewed and have always been very satisfied.
It’s like purchasing good quality computer peripherals at 90% Off.
This dock purchased new from Dell is $239.99 on sale, regularly $323.99 (I paid $25 delivered).
*** an Amazon renewed Plantronics CS54 wireless headset for a digital work phone @ $65, and the list price is $404.95
*** a DELL 7490 Laptop w/ 14-inch Business Laptop FHD (1920×1080) Intel Quad-Core i5-8250U, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SS USB Type-C, HDMI, Bluetooth, Webcam, Windows 11 Pro (Renewed) @ $299, list price $2048
Hope this helps anyone looking for quality computer related peripherals and considering “Renewed” items!

After testing this on different devices (1x ultra-thin desktop & 2x laptops) the conclusion is simple : this does NOT work. The video ports (2xHDMI & 1x DP) and the USB ports are not detected at all.
A huge frustration as I wanted to replace my former 2xDVI port Lenovo docking with 1 with 3 video outputs.
I even purchased 2 cables from Amazon to use with this new docking.
200% frustration and waste of time, money, energy.

This is less of a review of the dock and more of a review of the product I received. I expected a refurbished (meaning hopefully tested) dock. What I received was the dock I expected but with significant damage to the USB-C port — so much that i had to hold the cable in a specific position to make it work. If I let go, the dock didn’t work.
Later, I got a refurbed dock (same model) from Dell directly. It works fine and has no problem with my Dell Precision laptop and my company-provided ThinkPad (though the wake button doesn’t work with the ThinkPad).

Good what was described. Works with no issues

These are not refurbished. They are not tested and the do not function. I ordered 2 and both do not work. One arrived with damages power cords and had the wire exposed. Would give negative stars for the safety and fire hazard!

Got the “renewed” Dell docking station today and tried it out immediately… it works just fine and no issues after 4 solid hours of use. I had a VGA monitor connected to the docking station, a 1TB external drive and then connected it to my work laptop that is also a Dell device. Everything worked seamlessly and I am very happy. I am a remote/WFH home employee and my employer did not provide a docking station and so wanted a low-cost option to be able to use at my home office desk. This fit the bill! The “renewed” price was considerable less expensive than a new one and I wasn’t expecting for it to work and that I’d have to return it, but so far so good and I’m happily surprised.
