PSU dead on arrival. Busy ordering a new power supply via spares channel, that cost half the price of this “refurbed” unit. Hopeful there is no damage to the mainboard and other parts.

I stepped far out of my comfort zone when I ordered a refurb as a replacement for my old Plex server. Thankfully, it turned out fantastically well. The computer was exactly as advertised; in excellent condition and with all the parts / capacity expected.
I would absolutely order from them again with great confidence.
– The computer came with Windows 10 Pro installed, as they said it would. It was eligible for the FREE Windows 11 upgrade, which I successfully completed once I had the replacement drive installed with GPT partitioning. See my note below.
– The (Samsung) NVMe M.2 drive had something like 30,000 hours on it, which is about 3.5 years. That makes sense for a refurb. The drive tested with NO issues at all, but I eventually replaced it with a 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus after I determined that everything was good with the computer in general.
– The harddrive was a Seagate 2TB Enterprise drive and in good standing. That also was replaced with the media drives from my old Plex server.
– Device Manager had NO complaints whatsoever, but I downloaded and installed HP Assistant and it found a couple updates for the Intel chipset and network adapter. Those updates noticeably improved the already good performance of the computer.
**NOTE that at first, the Win11 health check said that the computer couldn’t be upgraded due to Secure Boot not being enabled. THAT WAS MISLEADING: The issue was that the original M.2 drive configured as MBR and Win11 needs GPT.
I had planned to format anyway and install Windows 10 fresh. I got the license key from the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform > BackupProductKeyDefault and downloaded the current Win10 image from the Windows Media Creation page.
With that done, I used the free MiniTool Partition Wizard to convert the partition from MBR to GPT. Then I could install Win10, do all the updates and wait about one day for Windows Updates to offer the Win11 upgrade.

This was definitely a purchase worth making. The computer arrived on time and as described. Much faster than the i5 6400 it replaced.

I am prejudice for my people in Michigan. They did not disappoint. I got a beautiful, clean computer. Upgraded! OK I had to call because I did not get the graffic upgrade and could get the video on the monitor. After they explained, without saying, Your stupid. The computer worked great. They were courtesy and called back to make sure I figured out how to hook up the monitor. Thank you guys.
