When I opened the box, I was shocked to find out my monitor was letting the world know that he is a boy. He just has the monitor stand…. hanging there. If you plan to use it on the stand, then it is touch and go; but if you want to use a VESA mount, there are a few hurdles.
I kept spinning my monitor around trying to find a way to remove his male pride, until I saw the tiniest tiny arrow right on top of the stand. It was a pain to open, you need something small and sturdy enough to shove in there (I used a hair clip, a tiny flathead might work). After that, you just need to remove the 3 screws inside and it detaches.
Which leads me to the next problems…. it didn’t come with any extra screws, or any screw for the VESA mount at all. It is 2024, give me my d*mn screws. I reused 2 of the screws that were in the stand, and 2 that I had around. That was such an unnecessary pain to deal with though.
I am complaining a lot, but I still gave the monitor 5 stars because, well, it does what it is meant to do and you get what you pay for. If it was a more expensive monitor, would it have come with clearer instructions and enough screws? Sure, but I paid less than $80 on that bad boy so it felt worth.
The colors look kinda nasty right out of the box and you definitely need to calibrate the monitor. The main thing is that the color settings are set to Warm which just makes everything look awful, just adujust the settings to your liking and it works great.

These are great monitors, easy to install. My only complaint is that they do not offer DP Support, which may have caused me to send them back, if not for the HDMI-to-DP cable I was able to purchase. My computer’s graphics card has a single HDMI port and 3 DP ports, so I needed to purchase a cable that would work from these monitors to my graphics card. This is the one I purchased and it works great. It’s a little on the long side, but I have a standing desk, so I needed a longer one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BY188564?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Other than the non-DP support, however, they are perfect for what I need.

I have a home office setup with an ACER ultra-wide second monitor on a floating arm. It’s a nice monitor, but for some reason it’s a buggar to get my work laptop (a Dell CAD workstation) to find the correct resolution with. I had to fiddle with the settings (as it’s a 75Hz monitor) and finally my system recognized the correct settings… and even with that, sometimes my system sees the monitor as just a 1920×1080 generic PnP monitor or sporadically flashes in and out (as if it’s struggling to find the correct settings/source (as it’s autosensing). Ugh. It drives me nuts. With that, I also use it has an extended monitor for my home setup (where my wife and I share the monitor, swapping between a couple older MS Surface products (SurfacePro5 and SurfaceBook2)); when those are hooked up to the ACER ultra-widescreen monitor, it’s the worst looking stretched-out blurry 1920×1080 interpretation, and by no means 75Hz). It was nasty.
Now bring in this AOC 27″ monitor. It’s a big monitor, but it has basic settings: 1920×1080 at ~60Hz. It’s much thinner than the bulkier ACER, and this AOC monitor is nicely ‘frameless’. It fits on the computer arm in our little home office so much better/more-flush. Also, it is instantly recognized by all our computers and Windows effortlessly matches up the correct settings. It’s a clean, bright, and crisp image monitor. It’s SOOO much nicer with our older laptops than that ACER ultra-wide.
I had such high hopes for that ACER ultra-wide… but this taller rectangular 27′ AOC unit is actually much nicer to work with. The AOC viewing real estate is 13.5″x24″… where the ACER ultra-wide is 11.5″x27″. The taller/narrower AOC screen is just nicer when reading webpages, building a presentation slide, or doing CAD. That’s probably just a preference (based on my usage), but it’s noticeable. I imagine the ultra-wide is perhaps better for gaming, but it didn’t really work well for other uses.
Oh, and for under $100, this AOC 27″ unit is a smokin’ deal! Great size, quality, and performance for the price!

The monitor arrived within half a day which was great as I have been struggling with laptop small screen. It is perfect as my primary screen and now life is much easier with 2. I simply plugged it in and I have not looked back. I rated this 5 due to value for money, ease of install and delivery.

Excelente calidad a un muy buen precio.

I got two of these to replace my older monitors I was using. I have them VESA mounted on monitor arms and they work great. The colors are very accurate and the screen is bright. Controls are easy to access and configure too. Performance is good, running at max resolution and refresh with no lag or fuzziness when dragging items on the screen or between monitors. Extremely pleased with both the operation and appearance. Would highly recommend these.

its perfect for my casual gaming, watching movies and doing homeworks and work! the quality is incredible and i love the fact that it’s slightly bent, it makes it easier to look around (since its so big). i would definitely recommend.

I’ve been using AOC monitors for some time and they have become my brand of choice for value. I’ve never gamed on one of these since I’m buying them for our office and manufacturing workers but I imagine they would be pretty solid for 1080p gaming with the high refresh rate. For the office, they’re borderline overkill but look better, last long, and serve all purposes for less money than the major brands. This thing is nicer than it has any business being for 75 each.

Nice bright, vivid picture. Actually I’m shocked that you can get such a nice monitor at this price. I’ve never used a really high-end monitor, so I can’t compare to that. But it’s been awhile since I purchased a monitor and this one is much better than others I’ve had in the past that cost more. I don’t use it for gaming etc., just standard average viewing.
