I bought this because the brain on my 2100 died and it’s a direct swap. All the harnesses are the same pinout and key. Note: There is no warranty with Avital unless you buy from an authorized dealer and use an authorized installer. I learned that when I called them. Their support is good. I got 15 years in the Phoenix sun with my 2100 installed on my 2003 Nissan. I have manual locks but got the actuators to make them powered with the alarm, as this has that feature too. I recommend Avital auto alarms and have used many.

had to refund as the installation instructions said to be installed by licensed installer only. Make sure you have an installer as setting this system up by yourself is not a possibility you want to take the chance of erring on.
The refund steps from avital were pretty straight forward, i have to thank ms bella for that.

I was a firm user of another brand until they went out of business. The dealer that sold that brand recommended Avital. I’ve been extremely satisfied with Avital Alarms for over 7 years now…”UNTIL” some tech genius, or their builder in China, decided it would be a “great idea” to put the lock and unlock button on the “same button!!!!” Wrong. Bad Idea. So, if you can still find a 4-button Remote Avital? I would suggest you grab it, because the “New, Improved Version” is just like the “majority” of “New, Improved Versions”…Far INFERIOR to the product they replaced. Lots of people will leave their cars unprotected thanks to the 3-Button remotes, and thus defeat the reason for an alarm in the first place. Grab the 4-Button remote Avital alarms while you can!!! You won’t regret it. You “will” regret buying a 3-Button Remote alarm of any brand!!!! Someone is not making intelligent decisions in regard to remotes at Directed Electronics (the parent company of Avital, Viper, and others).

Es facil de instalar y es de usar. Pero el sensor de movimiento no funciona. Tampoco vino boton valet lo cual es necesario pero no tanto como el sensor lo demas muy bien.

I had an older 3100L system that recently went out on a vehicle we purchased used 1 year ago. When we purchased it, we received 1 remote which was on it’s last leg. I went to a shop to see if they can replace the remote, and they diagnosed the unit itself has gone bad and quoted over $400 to replace/rewire for a new/upgraded system. Luckily, this was just a simple plug and play into my old harness. Within 1 hour, I had everything plugged in and verified. The horn is louder too! Highly recommend this option if you’re looking at replacing one of your remotes or the entire system.
We also like that there’s a dedicated lock button instead of the lock unlock combo. This allows you to slam the lock button multiple times knowing you locked your car.
