This is a good bass eq pedal. The frequency spectrum is spot-on for selectively leveling the bass tone. It does have excessive thermal hiss if the eq selecters are above half range.

I decided to buy this pedal so as to avoid replacing the pickups in my bass, and I have not been dissapointed — as soon as I figured out what frequencies I wanted to boost, my tone has improved dramatically. I mostly play metal and gothic rock, and having a brighter tone that can cut through the mix while not being muddy is something I was having trouble with before getting this pedal.

The plastic case feels more than sturdy enough for home use, and if you don’t stomp on it while wearing a suit of medieval armor (like some people who complained about the plastic have probably done), I don’t see why it couldn’t work for casual gigging.

I will say that it does tend to start clipping and/or hissing if you turn up the higher frequencies too much. My advice is to set it to a point at which it’s not noisy, and then turning up the volume on your amp — that seems to work much better, but it might be personal preference.

I am using it from last few months and I don’t feel any issues with it. Overall sound quality is good and impressive. Only the bad thing is its made by plastic but as per the price its good enough.

Works well, and I’m happy with it, but others may wish it were more robust.

I buy _every_ pedal that Scott Devine tells me to, so now I have another equalizer. It has a slightly eccentric selection of boost/cut ranges, tailored to the lower and higher ends of the bass guitar spectrum. It very handily can use an internal 9Vdc battery in case you just want take one pedal to the gig and don’t want to lug the power supply along. Unless you’re a road warrior playing 350 shows a year, the plastic housing shouldn’t be a concern.

Worked very well for about three weeks. Turned my amp on one day and there was a horrible hiss. After checking all the pedals I found this to be the culprit. Switched to a different power supply, both isolated, the hiss continued. Finally it just stopped turning on entirely. At least it gave me an idea where to set my EQ when I get a nicer quality pedal. You get what you pay for after all.

What a great equalizer for the bass guitar someone might say that it doesnโ€™t matter but I can hear a difference in the way it adjusts the frequencies great price as well

It’s not going to be built like a brick, we all know this. That’s not the point though. The point is, this actually sounds really good for the money. Like, I was expecting quite a bit of noise, or at least some noise, but nope! Very clean, easy to use graphic EQ with good selection of bands. Really underestimated how useful these become in a pinch.

Yeah, it’s made of plastic, but this thing is a workhorse. It’s the key to my tone. Sounds like Boss but much more affordable. Perfect for home or local shows. If you are playing out a lot or touring, then you may want to get the Boss eq for durability.
