I wanted to protect my home entertainment equipment in living room. This product has plenty of room for all my electronics and even modems. It says there is insurance coverage with this, but I hope I never have to investigate that…….

Got this to protect all of my new TV and its associated equipment. It does have enough outlets to accommodate all of my equipment in one space.

The bar is large and wide enough to fit all your outlets but I did have one issue with sizing of a plug beside another one as a few more millimeters would of helped out. Anyways I did some moving of cords and managed to make it all fit.

All in all the product exceeds my previous power bar and is exactly what I need

I currently own MULTIPLE Belkin power surges with extremely long cords that are STILL working great after 8+ years. I also bought another heavy duty model for a new TV in the living room last year.

Decided it was overdue to invest in some new ones for the electronics. Bought this one and kept it in the package for a while since I was in the process of temporarily moving to one location and shipped it to that location.

By the time I opened it, it was passed the return date, but I wasn’t concerned after being pleased with previous purchases.

However, once I did, I was disappointed to discover that the power switch was extremely flimsy but it appeared to still work.

(Please refer to another customer’s video above, you’ll see exactly what I mean…😠)

After returning to my original location, I packed it up (I had only used it for about 1-2 weeks at this point) and kept it in storage.

Just reopened it and plugged it in and now it appears that both the green and red lights are on (meaning protected AND not grounded)!🤔

I was confused about how they can both be on? Checked other plugs and they are only green (grounded/protected).

However, after consulting my Dad (who used to do electrical work), he confirmed that the location that was giving the red/green wires were probably using knob and tubing since it’s an old home.☺️

He asked me to check the plug in another location that had newer wiring to see if it was green.

I did and guess what?! The light was only green – showing it was grounded wiring and protection!🙌🏽🤗

So while I was initially upset by the flimsy power button and the two lights being on (both red and green), I’m grateful to know it’s actually VERY accurate and my devices will be secure.😁

It’s a great barometer to check all the plugs and ensure that all of the wiring is updated correctly after this home is rewired by a certified electrician.

So 5-stars for the actual plug, but 1-star is deducted for the power button.

Let’s see how well it keeps working a year from now… I hope it lasts as along as the others…🤓

I got a stand up desk and was looking for a new power bar that I could attach to the underside of the desk for cable management. This worked perfectly with a couple of command strips. I like that it has more outlets than your typical power bar without being bulky.

In a world where far too many electronics manufacturers think it’s okay to produce products with massive box plugs, this power strip is a godsend. I was able to organize and hook up all of the variously shaped plugs needed for my TV, HDMI splitter, modem, wifi router, hue bridge, chromecast, and 4 video game systems, and still have room for a few more appliances. I can’t speak to the reliability of the coax or telephone outs as I don’t use them. I don’t use the “cord management” piece, but I can tell you that it is sturdy and easy to work with. The plug itself is one of those out-of-the-way plugs at an angle, so I can keep my entertainment center flush with the wall instead of needing to compensate the plug. It would be nice if I could rotate the plug so that it’s at a different angle, but it’s really not a problem at all. Highly reccomend.

MARCH 2017: I usually only do reviews for 5 star and 1 star items. In this case, give this surge protector 5 stars.

Over 30 years, I lived in multiple states in the Southern USA – Florida,Georgia, and Texas, and the lightning storms are the worse in
that part fo the country. I mean brutal! House rattling. Extreme. And sometimes with hail besides. And we also had brown-outs.

Around 2007, one of our homes was hit by lightning; it blew out the outside floodlights, burned a hole in the roof, and we
lost some electrical devices, BUT WE LOST NO DEVICE that was plugged into a surge protector. It did burn out all the
surge protectors we had — I think 5 of them. And depending upon your home or apartment insurance company, you may get
reimbursed for them if you ever get hit.

I bought 3 of these over a few months. I selected the model with ETHERNET protection, not the USB port version.

If you need extra USB ports to charge your devices, buy one of the multi-port boxes (sold on AMAZON) that are about 3 inches by 3 inches in size and have AC on one end and 4 or more USB ports. Plug this into your surge protector.

The features of this BELKING POWER STRIP include:
    – power on/off switchwith green led power on light
    – surge protection for your DVR, or cable or satelite receiver (if they get their signal
    from a coax cable)
    – includes EMI / RFI filtering to remove these “noise” signals which can give you “buszzes” or
“hums” in the audio of your TV or surround sound system.
    – surge protection for your cable modem or router, if it gets its signal from an ethernet
    cable
    – 12 outlets and surge protection for each; 6 of these are on the outer edge so it should
accomodate the power transformers (the black boxes with an AC plug) for some devices
like printers, a TV sound bar, cable modem, etc
    – heavy duty power cable to run to the AC outlet

Buy from AMAZON a quad-shielded (that is the amount of signal insulation around the inside cable)
RG6 coax cable. Pick a length like 4 feet or so. Your coax from the wall goes into the
surge protector “COAX IN”. Then run this new RG6 cable from the surge protector “COAX OUT” to your
    DVR /cable / satelite receiver.

Buy (from AMAZON) an ethernet patch cable. Similar to the coax cable, run the existing cable from the wall into the
surge protector “IN”. Then use your patch cable to run from the surge protector “OUT” to your cable modem or router.

NOTE: I’ve never made a claim to any surge protector company; most include damage “insurance”
with the purchase of the surge protector for devices you plug into the surge protector.
Keep your receipts for all purchases. Personally, I’d rather buy a good surge protector than rely on a claim
for a burnt out 60″ TV or expensive audio equipment, and expect to get paid without a lot of hassle.
Do they depreciate the device – e.g. a $2,000 TV from 2 years ago that sells for $600 today ?
    How much would you get?
Do they only pay you what your home insurance does not pay for? Who knows.

I bought this hoping it will protect my electronics better than a standard power strip. Where I live we are prone to bad storm’s in the summer and constant power surges. So I hope I won’t have to buy another new TV this year.

I have two of these for high end computer workstations. They provide suitable protection and ample plug in options. I slightly prefer the Rocketfish LED lit options but these are much better value and cost for the same features minus the higher price tag for a more sleek design
