The ultimate upgrade in any living space. 4k HDR content looks absolutely stunning for movie watching and the gaming experience is pretty great although I just purchased a console for our bedroom and coming from the best gaming PC setup money can buy to this it feels pretty bad but I think that’s more of the consoles lack of power rather then the projectors capabilities since on paper this projector is as capable as the most high end TV’s for gaming. Either way for the money I could recommend then projector nto anybody. Remember good picture only makes up half of the experience so budget yourself for a surround sound and if you are like me and find sound to be more important for the experience I highly recommend the Samsung HW-Q950A. It’s a 11.1.4 Dolby Atmos wireless surround sound system that really helps put you right in the middle of the scene or battle and completly changed this bedroom entertainment experience since I had only a 3.1 channel Soundbar at time of purchasing this projector. The sound bar also has 2 HDMI inputs to expand on the connectivity.

Very good quality on 120 inch screen. Bright enough for my basement suite. Many different sound options, but internal speaker is not the loudest.
Love Google TV option and it works well. The only issue is Netflix not supported on projector itself. However, you can go around it by screen mirroring from another device.

Overall, very high quality projector for the price. Very quiet fan and does not get too hot. Has an auto keystone feature so you don’t have to adjust much which is awesome. I was confused at first because it said it had smart capabilities – come to find out, there’s a hidden compartment that you need to remove a screw to access (this is where the dongle is to be installed to use the smart capabilities). Would definitely recommend!

I bought this projector for my homemade Golf Simulator. To be projected onto a 12’6″ x 9’6″ golf impact screen.
I have the projector mounted on my ceiling approximately 19 feet away from the screen.
I think is does a great job. No complaints!!!
I also use it to watch movies or football games, but mostly for my Flight Scope Golf Simulator.

There are pros for this projector. The picture is bright, clear, and beautiful and looks almost as good as any TV (to me anyway) but the big drawback for me at the moment is there is only one HDMI port which I overlooked when purchasing this one. I am now wishing I would have gotten the TH685 which has two HDMI ports. Also, I am having some trouble figuring out how to get my soundbar connected to this so that I don’t have to rely on the speakers on the projector. Don’t get me wrong, the speakers on the projector aren’t bad really but I’d prefer to have my soundbar provide the sound, just a personal preference. It looks beautiful but there are a couple of things to consider when deciding on which one you want in your house.

Brand new BenQ projector. Got in just in time to watch NBA playoffs tonight. Plugged it in and the image has a pink hue. Plugged it in to my cable in other rooms of my house to eliminate it being my cable box, or hdmi cables. Same problem in each room. Called BenQ tech and he told me it sound like there is a problem with the projector itself. Response time to talk to a person when calling the tech line was quick. He was friendly. and knowledgeable.

We are extremely happy with our BenQ projector. My advice would be to take time to review and compare specifications for your room size and intended set up. This model offers great viewing in ambiant lighting, perfect for both daytime TV and family movies in a darker room. We have not tried video games yet.

Considering that 10 years ago something like this would have cost a fortune, this product offers an excellent audiovisual experience. It is possible but not ideal to watch a movie in a room where there is a lot of light, but unquestionably at night it looks much better.
Pros:
– What caught my attention was the quality of the audio that comes integrated with the device.
– Easy to install and configure.
What can be improved:
– The noise of the fan, it’s not at all quiet but you get used to it after a while.
– I do not recommend buying the version that comes with android TV because due to licensing issues it doesn’t support Netflix natively. (Netflix can be installed using a third party application but you need a smart phone to control it and personally it’s not the kind of experience I’m looking for when I want to relax and watch a movie. )
– The projector software looks like it was developed 20 years ago, not what I expected from a product at this price in 2023, I guess that’s why it comes with Android TV. (This is old technology disguised as innovation.)
