Il devait remplacer un lecteur interne défectueux dans un PC HP EliteDesk. Il a fallu relever les dimensions exactes pour choisir parmi les nombreux modèles proposés par Amazon. Montage facile et fonctionnement impeccable. Quasiment aucun bruit. Un peu “flexible”, mais le lecteur n’est pas fait pour être forcé.

Bought the DS-8ACSH March 13 and unit was very slow from the start. A USB-based LG drive was 3 to 4 times faster. Used the Lite-On occasionally and it got even slower. Totally died in May. Lite-On initially responded to warranty request but did not finish warranty process. After a couple of emails they failed to respond and never gave an RMA. Then they had the gall to send a survey. Worthless equipment and company.

Fit the laptop I bought it for and works fine. Install is easy, remove 1 screw on bottom of laptop underneath it and gently pull the old one out and Life the new one in and reinstall the screw.

We have had failures on our various drives over the many years we have lived on a boat, and this replaced the most recent.
It was a direct replacement – same model number and all.
However, one anomaly presented, in that one of the housing mount machine screws supplied with the mount, and which worked perfectly in the prior unit, bound the new unit’s slide bars. Until I figured that out, it appeared that the drive would not open and close properly.
In the end, I had to remove the offending machine screw and put it elsewhere; once that was done, all was well.
Given that the units were apparently identical (same manufacturer and part number), it seems a one-off.
Otherwise all went well and in less than 5 minutes I had made the hardware swap.

Das Laufwerk meines Dell Latitude ist wie das gesamte Note-Book schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Rest funktioniert aber noch sehr gut (DELL-Fan). Da insbesondere Note-Books mit integriertem Laufwerk immer seltener werden, sind integrierbare Laufwerke ebenfalls immer schwieriger zu bekommen. Musste dann nur die Abdeckung für den Öffnungsschalter der beiden Laufwerke austauschen, was durch einfaches aber vorsichtiges Ab- und Aufclipsen, evt. unter zu Hilfenahme eines klenen Schraubendrehers leichter funktioniert. Für den Preis jedenfalls eine feine Sache!

This optical drive was simple to install and surprisingly inexpensive. My HP dv6 laptop couldn’t recognize dvd media anymore and because it was a dual lazer it would still work for cds. The blue ray function stopped working the day after the warranty expired anyway. I never needed blu ray so this was the perfect replacement. All the functions operate as expected with no drivers required.

I purchased this drive to go into an external case for mobility purposes. It has worked fine without any issues and was purchased at a good price. The write and read speeds are satisfactory and there is little or no vibration while spinning a dvd/cd.

I bought this for a mini-ITX build and it took a little to figure out the mounting, which is standard so will be the same for and of these form factors drives. The one issues was the tray catching on the case opening, swapped out the preinstalled one for the one that comes with the case and it work acceptably. It reads and writes disk great, just requires a special cable to go between the desktop Sata and power connectors to laptop optical drive. Would happily buy again. PS, if you don’t know there are tiny little screw holes on one side is how you mount it. Those screws should come with the case and will be the smallest screws in the bag(2).

One of the burners out there that will actually burn karaoke CDG discs. They’re not easy to find some manufacturers don’t enable that because nobody uses CDG anymore except for karaoke

The previous drives I purchased were advertised as compatible with Windows 7/10, but they didn’t work with either one for burning iso files or ripping/burning audio CDs or files onto CDs/DVDs, either CD+- or DVD+-. The Lite-On worked extremely accurate and fast with no reading or copying issues or failures. It most definitely be attributed to its ripping/burning proprietary design.
