Cristopher Zelaya –
I use it every day, heats the water very fast which is convenient for those hectic mornings. A very practical and yet elegant design that does its job perfectly. It pays for itself because I am more willing to make my own coffee even in a hurry in which before, boiling the water with a conventional teapot was the most time consuming part of the process. With this kettle I can have my coffee ready in 5 minutes, and if I decide to make tea, probably takes me half that time.

Have it in the office for making tea/coffee. Here is the summary:
Likes:
1. The all matt black finish. (Long term review pending for longevity of the the finish). It’s very subtle and blends into pretty much any type of aesthetic.
Year 1 edit: The matt black finish is still good.
2. Boils pretty fast. Without a couple of minutes you’ll have water that melts the flesh of your enemies. Although I do not recommend melting flesh of your enemies, I think it’s against the Geneva convention.
3. The branding is subtle so it’s not screaming for attention like your least favorite child.
4. The switch is transparent and the blue led indicates operation. Don’t touch the body of the kettle when its lit.
5. It holds enough water to caffeinate 4 people.
Dislikes:
1. It doesn’t have any variables temp settings. (But you get what you pay for, it’s cheaper than those models).
2. The matt finish does attract a bit of prints and dust.
3. The base feels a bit cheap and plasticy unlike the the ones with a more premium finish (not a deal breaker for me personally).
4. Just like the variable temp settings, it does not have any temperature indicator. When the blue led light by the switch goes out you know the water is ready.
Summary:
Looks good makes hot water good for regular people. Not for caffine extremists or coffee Karens that demand the perfect temperature for every drop.

The black is so modern and sleek. Heats up very fast. Perfect for making tea or instant coffee. Love it. 10/10 recommend!

Simplistic goose neck kettle. Gets the job done quickly. Use it everyday and no regrets

I am new to the world of kettles in general, but I wanted something that would heat up fast for convenience. But I feel like I got so much more from this purchase. First, the look of it is just perfect for any kitchen theme. Second, it is quality… From the color to the overall build… it is very well made. And boy does it heat up fast. I thought for sure that I would have to wait several minutes, but no. No. No. No. I add a bottle of water and literally within less than a minute, I have piping hot water. This is easy to clean, easy to store, and sits perfectly on it’s base. The only thing I would change (or not change) is the cord. It’s rather hefty/sturdy, so tucking it away is a bit of a challenge. But thick cord or not, this was a very good use of my money.

I love the design! The blue light on switch is ugly tho

I have several Bodum coffee/tea products: A Santos, vacuum coffee maker, an Assam tea press. Both bought years ago and still working. When looking for a water boiler (hot pot) to make coffee and tea at my work desk, I looked at many choices and then decided on a Bodum Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle.
This heats water surprisingly fast. I used filtered water (so as not to create a mineral buildup, and then plunged the little glowing blue press button and within a minute, a sizzling sound, like a choir of singing angels waiting for their tea, came from the pot. It clicked off soon after, automatically leaving perfect coffee or tea temperature water.
The pot is made of stainless steel so it does get warm– use the handle. I got the matte black version which is lovely and very sculptural. I would not think twice about having this in the public area of a cool minimalist or modernist house or office. The design is super. The 32 ounce size is not super large, and holds about 4 cups of water.
It seems so well made, as long as an elephant does not step on it, I am sure to have this for the rest of my life.

Me encantó, es muy rápida, cómoda y fácil de usar.
Lo único que le falta es control programable de temperatura, pero en este rango de precios no he visto ningúna que lo tenga.

This hot water pot is a must if you do pour over coffees! It heats up super fast and the gooseneck is perfect for pouring the slow stream necessary. Plus the stainless steel 34 oz one I bought is beautiful and in my kitchen it is out on display all the time. Very good quality. The lid fits tightly and you don’t worry about it slipping off when you are pouring. Lastly, the auto off feature is the BEST because it clicks off when the water is ready to be poured. Just listen for the click if you are off doing something else in the kitchen. Of course the blue “on” light also notifies you by turning off.

I was worried at first that the capacity was misleading. The max fill line is down about where the body starts to widen. Tested it and its actually a little over 34 fl oz! Very happy about that.
The shape of the neck and spout make for a really smooth and consistent pour.
It had a weird smell the first few times using it but that is typical of heating elements. Space heaters do it as well.
My only complaints revolve around the lid. It holds into the kettle with metal tabs. Makes a grindy, screechy sound when taking off and back on. I worry that it will wear out and the lid will be loose. The knob on top is a little too short in my opinion. It can be easy to hit hot metal when taking the lid off just after heating water. I may change the knob to a taller wooded one. It would be an more of issue when heating up multiple pots of water rapidly. In my own personal use I don’t need to do it more than once at a time because of the large capacity. Doesn’t effect me but may be an issue for anyone who needs to chain pots of hot water. Not enough of a complaint to remove a star but worth noting.
