Ryan Marsee –
This is a great GYM. I would say it is above normal quality you would expect from a home gym and just short of that of the equipment you would see in a fitness center. With that being said that is not a knock, I would not expect fitness center quality at this price. This Gym has everything you would need to get a very good work out. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it meets all of my needs.

Poor directions. A few pieces have rust brand new from box. Joints squeak.

I received this equipment on a Friday and was able to have it assembled for use on Sunday night. I would give it about 6 total hours, make sure you have a socket wrench. Everything was very easy to assemble, the hardest part is getting the main frame together, you will probably want assistance for that.
On to the product, the movement on all of the parts is fluid and silent. Perfect for working out at night. I am 6’4” and had a little trouble with the leg extension as my legs are just a bit too long for the apparatus. If I were one inch shorter it would not be an issue. The Preacher curl is not the best but the bench is very comfortable and you can use it easily with dumbbells. Give yourself about a week to get acquainted with the equipment. You need to plan out your workouts so you aren’t constantly changing the grips and handles. The compact nature of the machine allows for very efficient and intense workouts.
I would recommend this product and all Body Solid products. The steel is super thick and when assembled this thing is not going anywhere.

So far, we could not be more pleased with this item. This item was purchased to be a station in a small weight-room for junior high and high school students. Setup was fairly easy, though took some time. The padding on the unit, as well as all parts, bearings, etc., seem very sturdy, which should hold up very nicely to regular use.
The main reason I am leaving this feedback is for the customer service. There were minor road bumps with 2 small pivot shafts originally missing, and the insert from the bench pad was missing its threads. After less than 2 minutes on the phone (mainly waiting while the automatic system pointed you to Customer Service), I was on the phone with a representative. After less than 10 minutes, I was off the phone and the parts were on the way. The process could not be more simple and the customer service rep could not have been better at assisting with this issue.

I love this gym. It is very sturdy and well made. I have found no weaknesses or poor welds, and so it is sound throughout. The stations are smooth and the levers are stable but also force you to do some balancing in the lift. I love the squat station. The bench press/shoulder press/tricep extension is quite versatile and smartly changes into different stages with ease. The only challenges are that it takes quite some time to put together; I would estimate it took me about 12 hours total while I was also watching NCAA march madness games on the TV, so it’s not an accurate assessment of time. I am moderately handy but no pro, and it was relatively straightforward putting together. I was hesitant because of the cost but am very happy with this. Even my daughter has started lifting with me on this. It takes up some space but has a reasonably small footprint considering the 25+ strength training exercises you can do on it. I contacted customer service for a list of the exercises in more detail and they mailed it to my door in two days. Excellent customer service.

The independent arms at the press staion wobble so much side-to-side that the press motion feels unstable and is harder to control than when using free weight dumbells. I questioned customer service at BS about this and was told that is how the machine is designed. That makes no sense. Otherwise, the machine is fine. I also purchased the squat attachment which is great. Bottomline, if you are spending mad money you will probably be satisfied with your purchase. If you scrimped and saved, not so much.

This is very well designed, sturdy and built to last. It is fairly easy to assemble. The padding is very high quality also. The only part that needs improvement is the strap they provide for triceps extension. I replaced it with a steel v-shaped bar I found online fairly inexpensive. Customer service is A #1 as I’ve called twice to request replacement parts, small plastic end caps damaged during shipping and assembly. I always tell everyone to look at BODY SOLID when searching for a home gym. I am a customer for life. Thanks to everyone at Body Solid especially the design engineers.

Works how is should, no issues there.
The only negative is that they don’t fit my 2in collars (coversion equals 6.28in circumference). Probably why it comes with the old style metal ones.
The diameter is about 1.835in (conversion equals 5.75in circumference). Please update the description.
