The original pump failed due to worn out brushes. This was a direct replacement. No more reduced engine performance.

This pump moves some serious volume for its size. It is quiet and smooth running also. The is very little information out there to help you properly install this pump. Even after calling Bosch directly, I was only able to get a generic pump curve. What about lift capability, cavitation temp/pressure, ambient capability, etc? I am going to run a pair of these hard in a diesel auxiliary cooling system assuming that they will be OK. Will update this post if I blow them up.

Pump is installed and working. I highly recommend purchasing with this pump the Dewhel fuel pump mount bracket clamp cradle for BOSCH 044. It went on with a little effort and works as a suitable way to fasten if not direct replacing where mount is available. If you buy a power connecter be sure to verify upon receipt the connector pin polarity. I ordered three different power connectors from three different places. Every one of them were wrong color to polarity… Red positive is actually negative at pump side. You can figure the rest or don’t bother installing it yourself.
