The print quality is good. Different fonts are available. The usual things such as underlining, boxing the words or italic letters can be done. Printing for cable labeling is easy. I can’t complain about the print quality or available options.
The design of this label maker will waste 1 inch of tape per label. After using this label maker with practice labels I have figured how to save a bit of the tape with the margin adjustment setting on narrow and having the tape length to be on auto. If you set the tape length to a certain length it will always be that length no matter how short a word you want to print.

Used for marking the RJ45 cable as a flag and wrap variant. Of course, while wrapping a label around the cable means that the text will be tiny a bit, but for me it just works fine. Using flag variant, of course, gives more space for text. Allows to print two lines of text (just press enter and one will see a 2) in the beginning of the line on the LCD screen). Also, just a note for other respective buyers, the label maker will always leave an empty piece of unprinted tape, because one needs to take it off (after cutting the printed label). An empty piece is around 0.79 inch (2cm). Great tool!

This has been pretty easy to use so far. It gets the job done and is reasonably priced.

Boy am I out of it . But it did everything I needed it for and more . The last one I had was in the late 60’s or early 70’s. Some of you might remember ….Turn the dial on top and squeeze the trigger? That was one letter , now the next one.
I’ve decided to start organizing my tools and paperwork . This made it so easy and it did things well . It also can be used for marking hoses , electrical panels. I just started using it on the ceiling grids to mark which valves are in the ceiling on our campus. They are going to have to buy their own , but it was just an experiment. It went well . Between my 2 jobs its an asset . No problems with the tape, and yes this time I read the directions.

This is my 2nd Brother P-Touch Pro. I bought the first one around 15 – 20 years ago. That one is still running perfectly, however this model is hand held and half the width as my original. Making it more useful for in the field labeling. My expertise is in high end residential, commercial and industrial security systems from IP Camera surveillance, access, fire alarms, and intrusion. A great tool for your jobs to have the professional touch. Just this morning I visited a large industrial site which was not my client, and noted that the installers wrote designations and details on White electrical tape with a permanent marker. Their installation such as wiring and choice of equipment was very good, Yet a poor presentation of the lack of proper identification labels.
My company has 4 Zebra office label printers, 2 Dymo, and 2 Brother. I rate the Brother and the Zebra as TOP performers. BTW the Zebra are in office only printers using Thermal transfer labels. They have their place in the chain, but are not portable as the new Brother.
