I just noticed the bell is sideways. :(. I wish I would’ve noticed that when I first bought it. I’ve been too busy to play it. But last night I played and noticed. Just look over it to make sure everything is OK:).

I’ve been playing saxophone for 50 years and have owned professional level horns. I’ve also been formally trained to perform repairs on woodwinds. I can’t find any weaknesses or flaws in the craftsmanship of this horn at all. It amazes me that this is so inexpensive!

Based on previous reviews I was hopeful since the slade store no longer sold this finish, but alas the horn I received was a Btuty. After a few days having it out some of the pads are settling octave key is sticky. ‘A’ was flat for a day or so. The sound isn’t bad but needs a lot of small tweaks and isn’t as free blowing as others. Would not recommend for beginners. It’d OK for me to doodle around with until I can upgrade. 3 starts for small details with pads and function. Intonation is acceptable but not ideal.

It comes in a box with Alto Sax written on the side in massive writing. Spoiled suprise. Great sax though

Like the other buyer above in the reviews, the product showed up moldy and smelling bad. Returning immediately.

Precio vs calidad. Fenomenal

With the 40% off coupon, this sax cost $147 after tax. Astonishing. I was, like another reviewer, sent a “Slade” saxophone, not a Btuoty, which is what I was hoping for anyway. The Slade alto sax got an excellent review by a pro on Youtube, comparing with his $4000 alto. Just search for Slade alto sax reviews there. It arrived in perfectly good condition. I have this as a backup to my 1952 Selmer Super Balanced action- and for $147 I couldn’t pass it up. Like the pro reviewer, I found it to be a very good horn, and I doubt many could guess blindfolded which sax was which. I’m guessing the key layout mirrors the Selver Mark VI alto, just slightly different from my SBA. I just guess no one wanted the antique brass finish (which looks fine), thus the big coupon saving. No adjustments needed, worked perfect out of the box.

Listing brand is Sasouri but the sax engraved shows Slade and also Slade on the outside of the case. This listing description is incorrect if the seller ships the Slade brand. This Slade sax delivered today and plays well.

The sax is really nice for a beginner, however the case arrived covered in mold. Really not what I expected when I opened it in my living room on my couch. Purchase at your own risk.
Edit… contacted Amazon they sent a replacement sax… which also had mold all over.
