David Gideon –
This small, compact range finder does it all: range, slope, and more. It even has a vibration that signals you that you’ve actually locked onto your target. At a very reasonable price!
Zamir Bukhari –
All good but would have been better if measurements was also shown in Red… difficult to read during night golf at few of the Dubai courses
Bryan Oh –
Looks like a quality build and more accurate than my Garmin golf watch.
Pros: Accurate distance, strong magnet.
Cons: difficult to hold it steady enough to get readings from distant pins.
Reading outbuildings or people on the course is easy at any distance, and reading pin distance from 140 yards or so seems accurate. None of my friends or I could get it to consistently lock onto pins over 150 yards away though; it would just give a reading for trees behind the pin. I tried using the magnet and sticking it to a cart upright to get a steady enough image to lock, which worked some of the time.
Have never used a rangefinder before, so maybe this is common. If so, the winner is going to be the company that uses camera tech to present a more steady image at distance.
Overall I find this range finder useful enough to be worth the price.

Excelente, muy preciso y fácil de usar. Muy buen precio para las características

My son borrowed my previous range finder on a golf trip and did what he said he wouldn’t do…. Left it on the cart and lost it. It worked well and he bought me a comparable but different replacement that frankly was not good.
I recently decided to replace that range finder and decided I’d try out this callaway after reading the positive reviews. After using it on 6-7 rounds I have to say, I love this range finder. So much better than the previous 2 range finders I had.
1) The magnet is perfect. Holds well to the cart
2) Has great zoom to the target
3) Locks on a flag very easily, even when I’m wobbly or my passenger is shaking the cart
4) Accurate Slope
5) Perfect vibration on the locked target
6) Easy read out
7) Solid construction, not cheap and fragile plastic like many budget range finders
You can spend $150+ more on the big brand range finder, but this is just as good and I’m very happy with this purchase.
By the way, I gave my son my old rangefinder… we got a good laugh at that. Cheers!

This Callaway 300 Pro Laser Rangefinder is a little smaller than other rangefinders that I’ve used in the past. It’s easy to use and locks into the target very quickly. I believe that accuracy of this rangefinder is very good and that this item is an excellent tool for use when playing golf. It was on sale at the time that I purchased it so at $170, it was a very reasonably priced item. It has a built-in magnet on mounted on it’s side that is quite strong and stays attached to the cart regardless of rough driving conditions on the fairways or on the cart paths. I would purchase this item again and give it a 5 star rating.
Gary Rojas –
Bought this range finder and it works like a charm. It’s also very easy to use and I keep it in my back pocket while I play.
Tony –
Convenient and user friendly.
TManinNC –
Love the rangefinder. Captures the flag quickly. Smaller size than most I’ve used but fits in the hand nicely and fits in my back pocket when dealing with cart path only days and my ball is never near the cart path.

So far (after about 3 weeks), I am extremely pleased with the 300 Pro. Works very well for me and is a good price compared to others offering the same number of features. I looked at the Bushnell Hybrid Rangefinder before buying the Callaway. Although it has some features that might be kind of cool, at $400 you would think it could give you slope (I suppose irrelevant it you only play on a very flat course), and you would think it would have a magnet (or other cart attachment device) at this price (they do offer an accessory for cart attachment for additional money). I’m not slamming Bushnell as they make very good products, and I am guessing the Hybrid is very good, but at more than twice the price and without offering what I consider to be a couple of key features, for me the decision is a no-brainer.
As to a couple of reviews I saw making complaints about the 300 Pro:
(1) Small size: Some reviews complain that it is too small. I like it (although it has a magnet to attach to golf cart, it also fits nicely in the golf cart cup holder). My golfing buddy has a much larger rangefinder (I do not know the brand) which is no easier to aim than mine. He is very impressed with the smaller size and how quickly it gives a readout compared to his rangefinder.
(2) Battery life: one review says the battery drains too quickly. At least from my experience, after 8 rounds over three weeks, I am still using the same battery without any issue. As I always do for battery powered products, I bought additional batteries at the same time on Amazon: “EBL CR2 Lithium Battery, 3 Volt 800mAh Photo Battery for Mini 25, Mini 50, Golf Rangefinder, Flashlight, Electronic Toys, Alarm Systems (CR2-8 Count),” about $12 for 8 of them. Even if I had to use a new battery every round, when paying $50-$100 per round I would not mind paying $1.50 to get accurate yardages for the round! (After 8 rounds I am only paying about $0.25 per round, assuming mine dies before round 9!)
Sept 6, 2021: Update re battery. Four additional weeks and 6 additional rounds. Still on first battery.
November 1, 2022: My last update for this product.
Today my first battery finally ran out on the first hole. AFTER 101 ROUNDS SINCE 9/6/21!!! Obviously I did not need to buy all the extra batteries.

Very accurate, clear view and easy to use.

I wen my golfing with some buddies and we were comparing ranges. This range finder was more accurate than the other 2 that were in out group. Good quality and the magnet feature is a huge plus although I prefer to keep it in the nylon case on my bag. HUD was easy to read.
