I originally mentioned a shakiness on playback problem using the 60fps, but this proved to be the fault of my playback being used on my PC, the playback on the camera is great and I found the problem on the PC to be from particular playback software, using other software the 60fps videos were fine.
I love it, but For beginners? Well, maybe if it’s a very smart beginner who’s half engineer and catches on quick, and doesn’t want to spend several thousand on their first camera. In other words, you don’t have to be an engineer to figure these things out and get them working right, but it sure doesn’t hurt anything if you are. But once you get it figured out it’s pretty good stuff. I’d say it’s both for beginners and pros alike.
You can get into that mega-bucks camera from NASA a little later. And those fancy things mounted on the tiny helicopters, yeah they do really cool stuff and get great scenery, but not so good for the close-up stuff I like. This one is perfect for now, with the Canon interchangeable lenses. Both the Canon 18 mm & 300 mm I have a great zoom on them, in addition to the digital zoon that can also be used in some modes. So if it’s telephoto shooting you’re looking for, look no further.
Setting up the WiFi & Bluetooth for remote control use with a phone or tablet I found difficult, but I got through it.
Love the fact that it does video as well as photos. Was going to get the T8i with the 4K but some of the reviews were not too keen on that. 4K is a bit top heavy with the bandwidth demands and all, it’s nice but not that nice when it doesn’t work so well, this T7i does a great job with the 1080p and is nearly as good as 4K and less money.
I also saw some bashing of the lenses and Auto-Focus regarding this camera, but I’ve found the lenses and auto-focus to be just fine. In fact I have a 300 mm Canon telephoto lens that has very good auto-focus, and good stabilization as well. It takes good pics and telephoto videos.
Love the sound on it, and love the ability to use the sound on Auto or adjustable Manual. I have one of these fancy tiny things people use when jumping off cliffs, from a plane or trying to kill themselves on a motorcycle, but the built in sound does work but is less than ideal, so I use an external microphone with it. Who wants to hear the screams of someone dying anyway. Better to have a silent crash. The sound on this is very nice without an external mic., but an external mic can also be used if desired.

Did some comparison shopping and Amazon had the best price. Just waiting to have a chance to make good use of it. So lightweight. Can’t wait to test out the wireless and bluetooth! 24 megapixels and the focus is fabulous!

I have been a photographer for 6 years now and I started with a Canon T3i and kit lens combo. I loved it and spent most of my spare time learning all I could. My next purchase was the “ nifty fifty “ naturally because every review I read said it was a must have. I liked it and it taught me about depth of field and I learned that I love a razor thin , shallow dof! I bought the Canon 24mm pancake lens and it became my favorite lens. Still is. My T3i has been having issues so I decided to upgrade. I’m on a limited income so I can only do so much financially. I also know that the best investment you can make , is in the lenses you buy. A great lens and knowledge will take you a long way in the kind of images your camera takes. I read tons of reviews and decided to buy The T7i. I was torn between it and the 77D because of the top LCD screen. They seemed almost identical in almost every other way but when I compared images on several photo sites, the T7i seemed to be the better of the two. It was also advertised as being smaller than the 77D. That appealed to me. I received it a few days ago, along with the new STM version of the 50mm instead of the kit lens. I’ve only used it a few times inside and in my front yard, planning on really testing it out this coming weekend. I noticed the usual Canon color science seemed to be … different. Washed out but I chalked it up to being a different processor and just not used to the settings. It was also the same size and only slightly lighter in weight than my T3i. The 50mm 1.8 was also not as good as I had hoped. I put my kit lens from my T3i on the camera and immediately got sharper images. To be honest, I was disappointed. The DIGIC 7 processor seemed worse than the DIGIC 4! The colors are much brighter and sharper in my T3i! Skin tones are more realistic. I tried all the in camera settings. Standard, Fine, Neutral, etc. and tried different exposures and white balance settings. I still wasn’t ready to give up…. until today. 3 days after receiving my poorly packaged camera and lens. It came in a box without any type of padding at all. No paper, nothing at all just sliding around in the box. I was again, reading the manual and trying out different settings and the camera just froze. The LCD screen wouldn’t work. The buttons wouldn’t work. I couldn’t even turn it off. I had to remove the battery and put it back in to get it to turn off! That was enough for me. I immediately arranged for a return label for both items. I’m sure I got a lemon but I don’t think I would have been happy with this “ upgrade” anyway. Canon seems to be putting out the same product with small upgrades every other year. The T6 is nothing but the T3i with WiFi. For $300 I could have had the same thing, since I don’t usually shoot a bunch of fast moving objects. However, I have been able to shoot many many birds using just 9 focus points , with single focus points. I can’t recommend the T7i but I also can’t NOT recommend it. For a beginner, but a T6 and get a great set of lenses. That way, when you are ready to upgrade, you won’t need new lenses. I also highly recommend the Canon 24mm f2.8 pancake lens. You won’t regret it. It’s also only about $130 U.S. which is perfect for such a remarkable lens. I know this review is long but I hope it helps someone. The auto focus on the T7i was fast and accurate especially when using live view. The touch focus in live view mode was great but I missed the touch and drag feature the Canon M50 and some other mirrorless camera’s have. I do wish the camera didn’t have the “ freeze “ issue because I would have liked to see if I could conquer the IQ issues but maybe it was a sign of things to come.

I received exactly what I expected, but the product itself exceeded my expectations. Good lens, great camera, all around a solid package to start getting better pictures.

The camera arrived in excellent conditions. Very easy to use, love the quality and I’m incredible happy with this purchase. Since I bought a used cantera I wasn’t sure what conditions will be but to my surprise and delight this camera is like new. No even 1 si goes scratch or anything relate with lens or any other situation. Of course I just got it so I need to test it more but so far I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

I bought this camera “bundle kit” 2 years ago and me & my wife really enjoy it. I have over 20 yrs shooting 35mm film so when I switched to this DSLR, it’s been a huge learning curve for me on the technical side of things, but the images this camera takes is spot on. My daughter is a lacrosse player so I had a great time learning sports photography and capturing some really cool images. My wife likes to take pictures of flowers and the wildlife that goes along with that and we’ve been absolutely giddy when we capture the image we had in our mind and the photo comes out far exceeding our expectations. Anyway, super happy with this camera. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a great camera to learn on and still be able to enjoy it for many years after.
