Not so much the Rolls Royce of Calculators more the Toyota Corolla E100 1996 Sedan Model. Took it out of the box and for the first few months it was plain sailing, 9*9= I punch in wondering what answer will be produced, Bamm 81. Surely it cant keep this pace up I thought to myself but I was wrong. 6 months later it was still producing the goods, 21/16= “What will happen here?” I pondered, Bazoink 1.3125. Sometimes I hid in the cupboard for 3 days at a time, I would then jump out under a bed sheet and press 42*125= really quickly thinking I would catch the cheeky devil off guard but no no no “take a nice round 5,250 for your troubles son and you’ve lost your job for hiding in the cupboard for 3 days” is what the LS-100TS said in return. Magic times.
Someone told me this was a good calculator for profit margins and they did not lie. In the first 3 years I had this calculator my profits soared through the roof (the roof has since been fixed).
Sadly though last summer the LS-100TS and I broke up, it decided that it wanted to go into another direction (scientific calculating), I said I could change but it told me it was it and not me. I had to take it on the chin. I’ve seen it out and about on the high street with an accountant lately but no way could they have had the times we had. Later that day I was purchasing 9 items at $9 each, i thought to myself how much does that cost, then i remembered what the LS-100TS first said to me and I cried a little. I have had a terrible fear of the number 9 since.

Great little calculator with basic tax functions and 10 digits.
I first purchased a dollar store calculator and regretted it every minute until I purchased this Canon calculator as a replacement.
The keys are not sticky, the screen is sufficiently bright (the calculator uses both solar and battery power), and the calculator provides up to 10 digits (which is important if you’re dealing with any calculations involving millions and want to include 2 decimal places). It also has basic tax and business calculations, although I haven’t needed to use those on a regular basis.
Don’t hesitate to buy this one. It’s well worth the price.

Well, what should i say about a calculator? Its a calculator and it gets it job done ! I do like the button , give you a feeling that you are actually typing on a hard keyboard.

The ten year old one gave up. This was the exact same model which meant all the keys in the same place.! Good for tax calculations and other basic functions

My first LS 100TS lasted many years. My second one lasted 3.5 years. This one started fading out in about 7 months. Thought maybe it was not being exposed to enough light, so kept it near a window. That did not help. The display only comes on about 50% of the time now.

This calculator was hard to source out at local retail outlets. Tried everywhere and was always sold out.
Ordering was much easier; it was also at a great price and arrived within 4 days… Fantastic!

I purchased this for work back in March this year. After less than 5 months with usage maybe a few times a day, this Canon LS-100TS calculator is completely dead. Despite having solar power, leaving it on the windowsill for a day failed to get any response from it. I’d send it back, but the cost involved both in postage and effort is more than this calculator is worth. I thought Canon was a reliable brand – one of the factors in my choosing this calculator – but apparently not in this case. Waste of money – choose something else.
