Very nice keyboard. It has lots of options and sounds great. If you are just a beginner like me, it actually has too many options, but why not start out with a good piano and learn as you go. You can’t go wrong with this piano considering the cost. You would spend a lot more on some other brands with the same features. This piano has all you need and then some to get started.

A little complicated to use. Sounds good and fun to play. Once you figure out how almost every thing can be customized. For the price a good deal

This is the second one of this model I have purchased. After about a year of owning the first one soon after it was introduced, I gave it to my great niece, a recent cardiac RN graduate who was battling anorexia and enjoyed playing it. I then got a keyboard from a youth thrift store but most of the instruments sounded like toys, but the piano sounded great. I had basically forgotten how to make this model sound like an orchestra….at age 86 some of us don’t remember so well! Through trial and error, I am figuring it out. When I see a word like “function” flashing, I figure that’s what I need to look up! I suspect the Casio CTX 700 would have been adequate but I am having fun with this one and some of the residents at this Senior Residence where I live also enjoy playing it…at least playing the piano tones! I’m sure a younger person would learn to do a lot more with it (I get frustrated with my Smartphone), but I love to sit down and play “Somewhere My Love”, with the sounds of 4 or more instruments, play taps on Memorial Day along with all the songs of the branches of military, making them sound like a real military
band, or play a Polka that sounds like the accordion I used to play, but no longer can lift. Music, whether playing, dancing to, or just listening is a wonderful stress reliever and it can really bring people together. I am so glad Casio has this instrument available at what I consider a reasonable cost, and if my 10 and 13 year old great grandkids didn’t live 2000 miles away, they could help me learn all the “bells and whistles”, but sometimes we use social media and play songs together. And Amazon has some great options for paying for items over a 3 or more months period. Thank you, Amazon!!!

I love everything about this keyboard. I tried a couple of others but either buttons didn’t work right or volume wasn’t correct.
Eben though this one has responsive keys, the volume is excellent.
The sound is excellent with so many choices of voices.
There is so much to learn, it will take a while to learn.
I am new to piano, but just playing chords with both hands I sound great!
You won’t be disappointed with this Casio x3000.

The Casio 61-Key Portable Keyboard (CT-X3000) is simply amazing. It is very portable and very easy to navigate. The speaker sound is great. The instruments and tones are great. The connectivity ports on the back of the keyboard are exactly what you need. Although it only has 61 keys, you can adjust the entire keyboard up and down octaves to play any notes you want. This keyboard is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced musicians. I love it and highly recommend it.

I have used this keyboard almost for 3 months. It is very nice and durable. It has features to edit tones and Rhythms. It also has a feature to make new Rhythms which is the main reason that I bought this keyboard. The keyboard has an affordable price compared to its use and it is durable. The sound system has a clear sound to hear and there are many different types of tones included. I am very happy for buying this keyboard for my home. Thank you so much!!

I owned to many keyboards in my life to name them all but mostly they were ROLAND, TECHNICS, and YAMAHA. Since CASIO were offering 100.00$ small keyboards, I never paid attention to the brand, thinking they were making only cheap keyboards… I wss WRONG, I just bought this CTX3000 and the sounds and voices are simply amszing, by far more than my other keyboards. It’s true that the technology is more advanced than 10 years ago and it shows in the quality for price. A sound like this would have cost you $10,000.00 25 years ago. Go for it.

There is a strip of invisible type tape over the keys that needs to be peeled off. At first I thought something was wrong when the keys wouldn’t press down.
Besides the power adapter there is another cord – adapter to outlet – in the box. I almost missed it.
The headphone jack is 6.35 mm – an adapter is required for a 3.5 mm headphone cord. I had one and put it in the pic but it is not included.
Once the tape is removed and power connected initial start up is very easy. Press the red power button and the display should light up with “001StagePno”. Next to the power button is the volume control – adjust clockwise and it’s ready to go. The manual is pretty extensive.
I expect I’ll use some of the various piano, electric piano, organ, and string section tones most of the time. There are a lot of quality sounding options. The various bass tones which automatically are set down an octave and the split keyboard option are features I might use occasionally.
I didn’t need many of the features on this keyboard and although the compact aspect of 61 keys is handy I have room for an 88 key piano. But I decided even an entry level 88 key Casio or Yamaha keyboard was out of my price range at this time.
Weighted keys were not a big factor for me as piano is not my 1st instrument and I mainly just pick out chords and melodies and use it for ear training.
I chose this CTX 3000 over the similarly priced 76 key Casio WK 6600 and Yamaha PSR EW310 sacrificing some range for what I thought to be better tone generation at least per my online research. Further research since purchase has me suspecting the PSR EW310 main piano tone may be close to equal. The CTX 3000 has 64 note polyphony versus 48 for both the WK 6600 and PSR EW310. The CTX 3000 has a 12 watt amp, the WK 6600 6 watt + 6 watt, and the PSR EW310 2.5 watt + 2.5 watt. Speakers are CTX 3000 3.9 inches x 2, WK 6600 4.7 inches x 2 + 1.4 inches x 2, PSR EW310 12 cm x 2.
One thing I didn’t think about before buying is the weight of the item. This CTX 3000 weighs 15.2 lbs, the WK 6600 weighs 17.4 lbs, the PSR EW310 right about 12 lbs, and the 88 key weighted keys options such as the px1000 or Yamaha p45 and p125 weigh right about 25 lbs. The lower priced ctx700 is 9.5 lbs. If you’re going to be moving the keyboard around some that might be something to consider.
