Unit requires assembly. Parts for the stand are not labeled (1,2,3…), you have to pay close attention during assembly to put things together correctly. The griddle comes in an assembly including the lid, burners, housing etc. It is fairly heavy, you will need someone to help install it on the stand. Griddle is steel. Burners fired right up after installing propane tank. I did not have any trouble conditioning the griddle following instructions found on you….be. Temperature variations across the griddle appear to be normal (hotter in the middle than the edges). Most materials are painted steel so there will be rust eventually. Casters on all four wheels allow easy movement. I would buy this again.

Took a while to assemble. Not really difficult. It just has a lot of parts. If you look closely at the pictures you will do just fine.
Once assembled it was seasoned. Has been wonderful every since. I think it’s better then the name brand that starts with a B.
I like the large grease container. Nice to use a squirt bottle of water on the grill then scrape any grease, leftover bits, etc into the grease trap.
Unlike some brands there are three temperature control knobs. I can put on knob on low for slow cooking things like pancakes while turning another knob up to cook sausage or bacon. Having to use only one third of the propane if you are cooking something small is nice too. Be sure you buy a grill with at least two temperature controls…three is a lot better. You need to be able to control your temperature!

Used this grill twice since purchased. Cleaned and treated after each use. Each time we went to use it was rusted again. Trying to work with Char Broil said they would send out a new top griddle but never received it. Called them back to follow up and they had no record of the conversation I had with the representative. I also had an email from them requesting information which I sent to them. Didn’t have that either. So we are trying again. I re sent the information and pictures. Representative said I will hear from them once they review everything. Will never ever buy from Char Broil again.

We decided to buy the Char broil over another leading brand because of a significant price difference. We expected lower quality but the quality is very good. The hose connection going from the griddle to the gas tank was leaking. When we called customer service they shipped a replacement within a week. Good service.

I have a Charbroil gas grill at home (and love it) so I thought I’d try out the new flat top grill and I’m so glad I did! The griddle is stylish, sturdy and a cooks evenly. Love the heavy duty, steel surface, sleek styling and the convenient side shelves. Definitely recommend for the causal griller – completely goof proof!
